~ 19:35, Dorm room ~

"Bye, enjoy," I say while smiling at both of my roommates. They are dressed up as badass hippies for the party. They wave at me and make their way out. I shut the door and sigh, "Alone, again," I say in a sarcastic tone. I sit on my bed and open my laptop to search for movies that'll keep me entertained until 10 at least. "What should I watch?" I search through my whole list to find nothing at all.

Great, just great.

I groan mentally, shut the laptop, and lay back on the bed. "Should I go out for a walk?" I look at the time, and it is about to strike 8. "Wow, I took a whole half an hour to search a movie but found absolutely nothing," I say, not believing it. "I'm gonna disturb my parents then," I pick up my cell and call them immediately. They didn't take much time to pick up the call.

"Hey!"
"Hello princess, how are you."
"Perfectly fine. What about you two?"
"Same, just missing you a little too much."
"Don't worry, I will come as soon as my first term ends."
"we'll wait for you."
"Oh, and the classes are really amazing. I love them!"
"It's good, by the way, your friends came by. They wanted to know if you'll come here for your birthday?"
"Oh, um... Well, my birthday, I don't know. I will tell you later."
"It's okay, they'll understand, just call them, okay?"
"Noted. So how's everything else there?"

And this is how the conversation starts to get funnier. My mother soon joins the father-daughter duo. I feel like I finally have some company to myself than being lonely.

"Yeah, yeah, old man."

I laugh aloud when my mother called my father an old man, which is very common for us. They have an age gap of 5 years, and my mom is younger.

"And you love this old man."
"Oh my god, gross, stop all of the lovey-dovey, please."

I gross out even if it is on the call, but I still love their flirting behavior towards each other all the time. My mom and dad are in their late & mid-40s, but still, when my mom cooks breakfast, lunch, and even dinner, my dad would back hug her, and it's just so cute that I feel cringe and adoring at the same time. I also want a life like them, but they are the high school sweetheart, whereas I am still looking for someone.

"Oh, someone's jealous."
"What? Me? Even in your dream, I wouldn't be."

I am jealous, but who knows what's inside until you express it. It is getting late, but the phone call surprisingly, well maybe surprisingly, extends longer than what I expected.

"Oh my, it's late princess, go to sleep now."

I look at the clock, and it is 11 already. I look at the screen, and indeed we talked for about 3 hours straight.

"3 hours? Wow, okay, bye, I'll call you tomorrow."

We bid goodbyes, and I place my phone under the pillow. Even though it is 11, and I woke up at 6, I am not feeling sleepy at all, my mind is still not lazy, but my body is heavy to move. I twist and turn around, unable to sleep, and it is getting late. "Fine, a walk, is it?"

I jump down from my bunk and wear my jacket over my tank top because it's freezing outside. I take the keys and walk out of my room. It's really late. I just hope the warden doesn't catch me sneaking out. But to my surprise, the corridor is full of female students drunk or wasted on the floor. I skip through them and walk out. Cae and Bae aren't back, so I can roam a little out.

The sky is dark and full of stars as usual, but it feels different. It feels like freedom. I have lived with my parents all my life, and it is my first time living without them. Is this what it feels like to be an adult?

"What are you doing here?" I jolt hard and look back to find Jungkook. He is in his usual black leather jacket with ripped acid jeans and a white t-shirt inside, hair is messed up, but it looks stylish. "It's late."

I glance at my phone, "Oh, um, I just couldn't sleep." He nods and stands beside me. "What are you doing here?" I ask back, knowing that he should be at the party. It is only 11.

"Well, tomorrow the girls have morning lessons, so I cam here to drop them. They must be in the hallways." I chuckle, knowing the situation in the hallways. They won't get bored. "What happened?"

"Oh nothing, just remembered something." I keep smiling outside and keep the laughter in my mind. My mind goes off the conversation and glances up at the beautiful sky, feeling the breeze on my face. Slowly wind blows, touching my face and blowing my hair a little making me feel more like a free soul.

"By the way, thanks," I immediately turn to Jungkook, who is looking down at me in the eyes. My eyebrows fuse as I look at him with a confused expression. "Um, Bae. She needed that thing you do... Consolation. None of us could've done that." I nod with a genuine smile.

"Not big of a deal." I smile, and we keep staring into each other's eyes. My eyes are refusing to drift away from his for some unknown reason. It is like our gazes are locked, and the key is lost.

His eyes trail down from my eyes towards my lips, I know what will happen, but my body and mind refuse to move. My eyes as well trailed down on his red lips unknowingly. Even though I don't want him to bother me, I can still feel his empty presence around me.

Jungkook turns to me as I turn to him as well. He leans in, and I stand straight. This is wrong. I will regret it. Move goddammit.

Soon I feel a pair of soft lips capturing mine softly. My eyes are open wide, my body is frozen, and my mind is blank. Jungkook's arms snake around my waist. I can feel the taste of alcohol. He did drink, but how drunk is he to kiss me? Or how sober is he?

He pulls my waist closer, all of a sudden, making me kiss him back. His lips engulf my lower lip as mine engulfs his upper lip. We switch the lips, and he turns his head from left to right to deepen the kiss and let short air get into our lungs. His hands hug my body securely, neither too tight nor too loose, just perfectly.

I place my hand on his chest, feeling the fireworks in my stomach. His heart is beating a little faster than the usual pace. Mine is blasting. I sense his lips halting for a second before we back up. I keep my eyes shut, praying that it is just a dream or something other than reality. But it is reality. "Ray..." He whispers near my lips.

I finally lift my eyelids and look directly into his eyes, feeling mixed feelings. He is about to say something, but I move back, breaking out from his grip. "Sorry," I whisper and turn around, only to turn back to him. "It never happened, okay?"
