Chapter 15

*The next morning*
I woke up laying in a sandwich position, Steve behind me with his arm on me, Peter in front of doing the same. I smile and lay as still as possible until I got a message notification, I was looking for my phone until I realized I'm laying on it. I slowly move up so I can reach it. They both turned and I froze. They slept further and I breathed out in relieve, I grabbed my phone and checked the message.

I rolled my eyes and slowly climbed out of bed, trying my hardest not to wake up the boys. I grabbed an oversized sweater and walked to the living room, closing the door softly behind me. "Good morning everyone." I said as I walked in. "It depends." Nat says and looks at me with worry in her eyes. "What's going on?" I asked. "Two things, first Steve and Peter are missing." Tony said and I laughed. "No they're not, they're in my room." I said and sat down. They looked at each other and then at Tony who in return looked at me with anger in his eyes. "OMG dad stop. We were watching a movie and fell asleep. Like that never happened to you." I said and facepalmed myself. He kept looking angry but moved on. "The second thing is, when we got in the park last night, the man wasn't there. We think he knew you weren't coming." He said and I looked at him. "Well then my vision I had last night was right, he came to steal my powers." I said and they all stared at me. "I didn't say this last night?" I asked and they all shook their head. "Oh well when the pain started in my head I had a vision of Peter and me going into the park and the man grabbing my arm, putting a machine on it and sucking all the power out of me." I said. "Short version." I said as I got up "I'll just go train so I can beat his ass." I said while smiling and walked back to my room. I walked in a little too hard which made me slam the door and the boys sat up straight. "What happened?" Peter asked. "Nothing happened you guys better avoid my dad tho, they thought you guys were missing and I told them you were here and now Tony is angry. The man never showed up last night, so I go train to get stronger so I can beat his ass." I said and fake smiled I grabbed a working out outfit before rushing to the bathroom to change.
The outfit:

I throw my PJ's in the laundry basket, put my hair in a high ponytail and go back to my room to put on shoes. "Nina, are you okay?" Steve asked. "Yepp just peachy." I said as I felt fear coming up, I grabbed a water bottle and ran down to the training area. I put my bottle down on a bench and went into the ring. I did sone push ups and sit ups before training my powers. I got up and moved the water bottle to me, I grabbed it and drank from it. I closed it and dropped it on the floor, I extracted my wings and went into the air. I kept trying to teleport and slamming the walls with every fail. I kept going until I had it. I trained my super strength as well, I tried to pick up the boxing ring, I kept failing so I did some more strength exercise until I could lift it. Just as I did, Steve walked in and clapped. I was so focused I didn't hear come in so I dropped the boxing ring on the floor. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you." He said and I grabbed my water bottle. "You didn't, I was just too focused." I said as I sat down. He walked over to me. "You know it is okay to be scared." He said, I looked up at him. "I'm NOT scared." I said angrily as I got back up. "I'm Tony Stark's daughter... I'm Iron man's daughter... I can take care of myself and nothing scares me." I said as I got back in the ring and just ran around, faster and faster. Eventually I went so fast I could barely see my surroundings anymore. I stopped running but I slid further and fell over the barrier and out of the ring. "Shit." I said as I got back up, I was going back into the ring until Steve stopped me. "Nina stop." He said and grabbed my arm softly. "Training is good but this is not training anymore." He said. "Yes it is." I said I pulled my arm loose and teleported myself outside and trained there further. "She needs to be stopped." I heard my dad think as he walked over to me. I focused on his mind and changed his mind. I forced him to go back inside. As he walked away I felt my powers changed. I gasped and stopped controlling Tony. "D-d-dad? What's happening?" I asked as I dropped to my knees, the powers felt unlike me. I sat down on my butt and used my scarlet power instead of red it turned black. Tony ran over to me. "No dad, don't come closer." I said scared. "I'm dangerous, I-I just controlled you." I said as I crawled back, he kept coming towards me. "I don't care, you're my daughter." He said and something inside me took over. "Am I?" I said with a distorted voice as I used my power and threw Tony far away from me. "Your daughter is still in here trying to fight me. It's not working, the powers need to go back to the rightful owner...ME!" I said and laughed like a villain. My wings got extracted and I flew away really fast. I saw Tony trying to grab me, but it was too late. I had no control over my body and I tried to gain back control but I failed. After flying for a while I landed on some kind of bunker. I jumped off of it and walked in. The door locked and I gained back control. "W-w-where am I?" I asked. "Welcome back to where it all started." I heard a voice over the speakers. I looked around and I slowly recognized it. This where I got my powers, I walked further. "Why are you after my powers? You gave them to me." I said being very cautious of my surroundings. "Yes... for safe keeping." The voice said. "Why? Why not give it to yourself?" I asked and the man appeared on the other side of the hallway. "Because you were the only one who wouldn't die." He said, "What is so important about these powers that you even need them so desperately that you first give it to a baby and then try multiple times to get them back? It doesn't make sense." I said and he laughed. "Because I... created them, that is why they are so important and can't just get lost." He said, I walked back the other way. "Well that is your problem, not mine." I said I felt that I was losing control again over my own body and mind. "Oh no, not this time." I said and I pushed up walls in my mind to keep him out. I decided to change reality. "You gave me these powers. Enjoy feeling them." I said as I instead took over his body. I used his darkest feelings against him and made him unlock the door. As I walked outside, Tony appeared in his Iron Man suit. "Nina are you okay?" He asked, "Hold up dad." I said as I turned around. "Have fun with him." I said and pointed at the man. Tony walked over to him and grabbed him and flew back to the compound with him. I quickly flew after them, still controlling the man. As we arrived we quickly locked him up and I stopped controlling him. "Now for real Nina, are you okay?" He asked again and I nodded. "I just feel bad for what happened to you." I said and he smiled. "I'm fine and it wasn't your fault." He said and hugged me. "I'm just happy you're okay." He said as we walked away. I nodded. "I have to find Steve, I have to apologize." I said, he nodded and I ran off to find Steve. I couldn't find him and decided to call him. "Where are you?" I asked as he picked up. "The other side of the city why?" He asked a little emotionless. I sighed, "Just get back as quickly as you can." I said and hung up. I went to my room and laid down on bed, thinking of what happened when I heard a knock on the door. "Nina can I come in." I hear Peter say on the other side of the door. " Yeah." I said and the door opened. "Are you okay?" He asked, I just shook my head and he laid down beside me. We laid there in silence for a bit and then I just started to rant about everything. After I was done we still stared at the ceiling together in silence. "You did good Nina." He said as he looked at me. "I'm proud of you." He said and I smiled slightly at him. "Thanks Parker." I said and he smiled back at me. "That's what best friends are for." He said and we just started to start staring at the ceiling again.
