Chapter 41

*That evening*
Nat and Wanda were helping me get ready. As I stood under the shower they were putting my outfit and accessories ready. I got out of the shower and smiled at them. "Thanks guys." I said as they walked into the bathroom. "No need to thank us, that's what you have girl best friends for." Nat said and smiled as she brushed her fingers through my hair. "HEY!" Peter yelled from the bedroom. "YOU ARE STILL MY MALE BEST FRIEND AND NEEDED FOR THE GUY POINT OF VIEW, I LOVE YOU!" I yelled back and the girls laughed. "GOOD I LOVE YOU TOO!" Peter yelled back. The girls did my hair while I put on my make-up when we were done, they brought me my outfit with the accessoires and I put it on.

I walk out to the bedroom and they all look up. Nat and Wanda gasped and Peter just stared at me. "Well?" I asked and they all just nodded. "I checked the time before quickly running out of my room. "Well, where are you going." Tony said as I ran passed him. "A date." I said as I ran further. "YOU LOOK AMAZING HONEY!" He yelled after me and I just stuck my thumb up. I stopped in front of the stairs to the roof and took a deep breath as Clint walked up to me. "Well well well, who are you looking so good for?" He asked as he leaned against the wall and gave fatherly wink to me. I smiled nervously and looked up to the door at the top of the stairs. "Steve." I said softly and he smiled. "He's gonna love it." He said and gave a little squeeze in my arm as he walked off. I took a deep breath and walked up the stairs. I slowly opened up the door and looked around. There were candles everywhere and in the middle of the roof there was Steve standing in a suit and with a picnic holding a rose. I gasped and walked over to Steve. "Wow this looks amazing, just like you." I said as I walked over and he was just staring for a bit. "Well... you...uh...well you look incredible stunning." He said nervously and I blushed. He handed me the rose and softly grabbed my hand. He led me to the picnic and we sat down. He placed a plate in front of me with beefsteak, mashed potatoes and peas on it and I smiled. "Looks good." I said as my stomach growled. "You heard nothing." I said and pointed at him, he raised his hand and shook his head. "I didn't hear anything." He said and we both laughed as we ate. We talked and laughed for hours before going back inside. We sat down at the Piano and played random notes together. "I had a great night." I said as we kept playing and he looked at me. "I did too." He said and kissed my cheek. I blushed as he pulled me up, he led to my room and bowed. "It was a pleasure m'lady." He said and I laughed as he kissed my cheek and walked into his room. I shook my head and walked into my room. I took a shower and took off my make up before putting on my PJ's and went to bed.

*A few days later*
Peter and I came back from school when everyone was sitting in the living room, they all turned around when we walked in and Peter and I went quiet. I was looking at everybody and stopped walking. "Anything wrong?" I asked and they all shook their head. "How are we going to tell her, that her mom has been murdered by Hydra." I heard someone thing but couldn't figure out who because I could only hear the words, that kept echoing in my head. I gasped and dropped my phone on the floor as tears came into my eyes. My heart started to beat faster and everything started to spin, my eyes started to flicker as I ran outside. "OKAY WHO FUCKED UP BY THINKING?" I heard Nat yell as I heard multiple footsteps follow me, I extracted my wings and flew to my old house. I arrived and saw the whole house being broken. I slowly walked in only to see multiple cut marks and bullet holes in all the walls, I walked around the whole house and I felt the walls caving in. I walked around my moms bedroom as I was trying to catch my breath, the whole room was covered in more marks, holes and there was blood splatter as well. I lost control and dropped to my knees a wave of my power escaped and hit the whole city as I placed a shield around the house. I laid down in a fetus position and cried, still trying to take control of my powers and emotions. No matter how bad my relationship with my mom was, she was still my mother and I still loved her. I laid there for hours ignoring the fact that the others arrived here after 5 minutes and been calling out for me. I finally got control over my powers but I kept the shield standing. I got up and wiped away my tears as I slowly walked outside, I dropped the shield and walked past everybody and started to walk back to the compound. No one said anything as I past them, everyone went back to the compound but I could feel that Steve and Tony were following me from a distance, I had no energy to tell them to go away, I just kept walking not being aware of my surroundings and somehow I still ended up at the compound. I went straight to my room and just dropped myself on to my bed. "I'm sorry mom." I whispered before softly crying again.
