Chapter 24

"Dad." I said as we walked into his office. "Oh, so it appears you were found." Tony said as he turns around. "Yes but that is not why we are here." I said and pushed Steve forward. "Right, I took this picture if her a few nights ago." He said and showed Tony the picture. "So since when did your power change color?" He asked, "First of all, that's the problem it didn't." I said as I put my power in my hand and it was still red/orange. "Second of all, this is while I'm asleep. I've been sleep walking onto the roof every night for the last couple of nights. I don't remember sleep walking before." I said and sat down. "Because you never sleepwalked before, there must be an explanation for it." He said and I nodded. "She has been since she got here." Steve said and we both look up at him. "I just follow her every time to make sure she's okay, she doesn't react to anything at those times so I follow her, she always sits down in the exact same spot, does this for 15 minutes and then teleports back to her room." He said. "And you're only telling us now?" Tony said and facepalmed himself. "Hey I didn't know she never sleepwalked before." Steve said and raised his hands in defeat. "It's okay dad, we just have to figure it out." I said and they both nodded. "Is it around the same time?" Tony asked Steve. "Not around... EXACTLY the same time." Steve reacted. "Every night at 2am." He said. "I can try to stay awake?" I said, "No Nina you need your sleep." Tony said and I sighed. "If we want to figure everything out I have to." I said, he just stood there for a few second staring at me. "Fine." He said waving his hands. "Then go rest now please and don't do too much today." He said and I nodded. I walked to my room, I put on some comfy clothes and laid down in bed. I turned on my side and sighed. "I don't feel safe anymore after what happened with Bucky." I thought to myself as I got flashbacks, I sat up grabbed a blanket and went to the living room. Steve and Tony were both there. "Nina, you need your rest." Tony said and I sighed. "Yes I know dad but how am I supposed to get rest if I'm scared?" I said as I laid down on the couch. Tony walked over to me and put his hand on my cheek. "Then just stay here honey, I'll make sure there's always someone here." He said and smiled as me as he rubbed his thumb over my cheek. "Just know that you're safe." I heard him say as I slowly fell asleep.

*A few hours later*

I was having a nightmare. I saw everything that happened in the past few days again, I tried to scream but I couldn't all of a sudden it changed. I saw Nat and Tony dead, I was finally able to scream, I woke up and sat right up, out of breath and Peter was sitting with me. "Nina are you okay?" He asked. "Where are Nat and my dad?" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders. "I need to see them." I said. "F.R.I.D.A.Y. Please ask Nat and my dad to come here." I said. "Of course miss Stark." She replied and I just laid back. "Could you get me some water?" I asked Peter, he nodded and went to the kitchen. Tony and Nat walked in. "You called for me?" They said at the same time and looked confused at each other. I sat back up and looked at them before starting to cry. "Nina what's wrong?" Nat asked as they both walked over to me. "I had a nightmare that you were both dead." I said while sniffling. They both hug me. "We're not going anywhere." They said as we pulled away. "Peter walked back in with my glass of water. "Is everything okay?" He asked and I nodded. "I feel much better now, thank you." I said as I wiped away my tears, he handed me my water and sat down again. "Get some more rest, okay?" Tony said and I nodded. Tony and Nat walked away as I drank my water. When I finished it I gave the glass to Peter who was already standing up to bring it to the kitchen, we smiled and I laid back down. I turned to face the couch and fell asleep right away.
