CHAPTER 19
AND NOW WE'RE BACK
Three hours before that, they were all busy resting and checking out the room. Eitan were leaning on the veranda while watching the landscape in front of him. Viktor leaned on the railing beside him and offered him a smoke.
They are now all wearing traditional and formal Moroccan djellaba and a pants, it's an embroidered clothes.
"Wow, you really sneaked in cigarettes." Eitan chuckled. "No, I won't smoke."
Viktor nodded as he lightened the cigarette and puffed on it. "I should've sneaked in my shampoo if only I know we won't be able to get our things from the apartment."
"Do you think Aeedah's been caught?" He asked.
"Let's hope not." Viktor said as he glanced at Eitan's worried face. "You're not worried about Aeedah, don't fool me. You're worried if Phillie is doing well."
"Am I that obvious?" Eitan grunted.
Viktor chuckled. "I ain't lying, dude, but you have one extraordinary girl. Shouldn't have messed with her from the beginning."
"Vik, we're not..ugh." Eitan groaned and looked at Viktor immediately. "Damn right, you haven't apologized yet!"
"I-I know! I will apologize but..wait, you don't have a label thingy?" He asked.
"Well, I was about to ask her out when things about Nirvana worsened. You know how I stayed in the District that whole week. Guess I need to apologize as well." Eitan answered.
Viktor nodded. "So that was this all about. You love her?"
"I still need to confirm it that's why I want to date her properly." He murmured.
Viktor chuckled. "My..the world is ending, our lives are at stake but love still goes around, huh. Must be nice to be young. Your first love?"
"No." Eitan chuckled. "My first love was so..painful."
Eitan said as his mind drifted at some point of his past when he were introduced to his mother who was away from him his whole life. With his brother, Ace, clinging on their mother's arm, he can't help but feel envious of what they have that he longed for ever since he started thinking.
"It's nice to see you, Ei." His mother said as she smiled while patting his head.
Eitan can't help but feel the motherly love from that small touch. His wide and innocent eyes were shining from the sight of his mother.
"M-Mom?" He called.
"That's right. I'm your mom." His mother smiled.
Eitan jumped and embraced his mother in joy.
At that point, Eitan realized that his mother was his first love. The calming and beautiful smile from that fragile woman that made him all giddy and happy even if he was kept away from everyone for years.
In thoughts that he will finally have a happy family that he longed for after being kept away from the main house. With all those genuine smiles and laughter, he forgot about his own circumstance.
"You stay here, Ei and wait for us, okay?" His mother asked him with Ace on her side.
Eitan nodded. "Where are you going, mother?"
"We're going to shop a bit. Be a good boy." His mother said and finally left.
For the whole day, the young Ei waited at the couch on the living room until he woke up in the middle of the afternoon from the distinct chatters. Tumayo siya at sinundan ang boses ng ina at ni Ace.
