ACHILLES COME DOWN

"We can't stay for much longer, Ei. We're not in a vacation." Apple said.

Eitan were still busy looking around for any possible clue. They are still clueless. "It's impossible. There should be someone who knows about Nirvana."

"But we can't really interrogate everyone here. We'll end up killed." Cloud added.

As if an idea suddenly popped up inside Eitan's mind, he turned to Apple and Cloud. "I know a way!"

"Geez, stop startling old men like that." Apple murmured. "Yeah, what is?"

"I remembered you told me that Chinese mafia is the most influential family here." Eitan said.

Apple gasped. "I didn't say that but yeah..I made it seem like that. So?"

"No, you're not." Cloud said, immediately understanding what Eitan is about to suggest. "There may be the strongest mafia underground but we wouldn't know if they're on our side."

"How are we going to know it?" Apple asked.

"We wouldn't know if we won't try." Eitan said. "Don't worry. I'll do the talking, just bring me to their place."

At the end, Apple and Cloud didn't had a chance but to show Eitan the way. Nang makarating sa gate ng malaking tradisyunal na bahay na sinasabing bahay ng Chinese ay hinarang agad sila, as expected.

"We..." Apple gulped at the sight of the heavily armed Chinese. Lahat sila ay nakataas ang mga kamay. "We want to talk to Lei Wang."

"You think this is a private company?" The Chinese asked. "Go now."

Eitan stepped forward with his hands on the air still. "I...Sing Wang knows me. If only he co--"

The Chinese pointed then the gun at Eitan's head. "I said. Go. Now."

Mariing pumikit si Eitan at tila naputol ang pasensya na pinaghahawakan. He gritted his teeth and the moment that he opened his eyes was the cue that he will not fight back, if only a familiar voice spoke behind the Chinese.

"Why are you here?" It was Sing.

Nilingon nilang lahat iyon.

"Sing, I need to talk to you..or your Father." Eitan said.

"You think this is a company? Leave before our guards get mad." Sing said.

Apple chuckled behind Eitan. "Same blood, huh?"

"This is very important, I swear." Eitan said. 

Sing sighed and nodded at the guards. 

With the signal, they were immediately checked around their body for any weapons and were confiscated temporarily. Then they were guided by a female attendant inside the huge household.

"This is too big." Apple murmured on the side.

The interiors were too traditional that even the clothes of the roaming servants are traditionally made. There were chimes along the windows that even if this is a mafia safe place, it looks like a simple vacation house with how comfortable it is.

Naputol ang kanilang pag sight seeing nang muling magsalita ang batang si Sing.

"Sit there. I'll call Papa." He said.

Eitan nodded. "Thank you."

"This would be the first and last." Sing said as he left.

Naupo na silang tatlo na magkaka tabi habang tahimik lang. Ang mga Chinese na guard ay nakatayo lang din sa gilid at binabantayan ang kanilang bawat galaw. Though, it is already a given precautionary measure since they are all outsiders, moreover,  non-Asian visitors.
