CHAPTER 25
PAST TIES
"Any update about Ei?" Kozma asked Phillie.
They are all in the District right now after the Taggers were briefed of what is happening in the District secretly. Despite how heavy and shocking the situation is, the Taggers professionalism topped above their best priority.
Everyone is busy investigation lowkey-ly, some were gathering intel and some were busy preparing their equipment which is a huge help for the primary team since they don't need to work underground anymore or without the fear of being busted by the Taggers.
"No. Not at all. He's been away for a week and he's not in the District either. Where could he be right now?" Phillie asked, worried.
Ches sat on the table as well while sipping on his drink. "I can only think of one place but I'm not sure he'll even think about that. But what about the men in suit roaming around the apartment?"
Phillie looked at him and remembered that there was a group of men in suit guarding the apartment as if looking out if Eitan will come back. "They're still around but they're not going near me at all."
"That's fine for now. We've set camera's around your porch so don't worry." Kozma said.
"How about the third District? Should we try contacting them?" Viktor asked as he helped a few Taggers put down a huge box.
"Can we do that?" Phillie asked.
"I doubt they'll tell us if he's really there. You know how Taggers are loyal to one another." Kozma said.
Ches nodded as he got the idea. "Right."
"How about we go there ourselves?" Phillie suggested.
"That's possible." Viktor nodded. "But what if he's not there?"
"We can check the underground. If he wanted to stay low and avoid our radar, the best place he could go is the underground or worst..he's outside the country now." Ches said.
Phillie kept on playing with her fingers while thinking of the possibilities.
But before they could go deeper to the matter, a Tagger went inside and walked towards them.
"There's a young man looking for Eitan at the gates. He didn't said his name but he said one thing." The Tagger said.
Nagtatakang nag angat silang lahat ng tingin sa Tagger.
"What?" Viktor asked.
"What happens in Morocco, stays in Morocco." The Tagger said that lightened up their eyes.
The rain was so heavy that they had to wear their black raincoats while they walk along their territory towards the gate. With the hope they have in their chests and minds, they carefully wished to have another helpful answer.
They were lined up together just behind the gate of the District while looking at the group of men with black suits and black umbrella's.
"Who is this?" Phillie murmured beside Kozma.
Kozma has his hand on his waist to reach for his gun while looking at the men in suit in front of them. "I don't know but stay behind us."
Phillie followed his command and stepped backward as to let them shield her for the threat they currently have.
Lumapit ang mga naka suit na lalaki sa gate at nang huminto ay nag angat ng tingin.
The visitor, a blue eyed familiar man, with a tear scar on his left cheek smiled at them. "It's my first time here in Russia. Would you mind touring me around?"
