CHAPTER 24
METAL CITY
"Ei.."
"Wait.."
Since when did you walk this fast, Ei. She thought.
"Let go." Eitan murmured.
Phillie gripped on his arm. "No. We'll talk."
"I said let go!" Eitan yelled as he pulled himself away that it pushed Phillie to the side. Bumagsak si Phillie sa sahig at napaingit sa sakit noon. Eitan was about to rush to her as he stepped forward but there was a pain on his chest which made him turn around. "Go home."
"No." Phillie murmured as she got up again with her wobbly legs, there was a pool of tears on her eyes. "I don't want this. I don't want you to hate me, Ei. I was never in a deal with your father. We just met and--"
"Yeah and you didn't even tell me." Eitan said.
"Because I know you don't have a good relationship with your father. I know I was at fault but I swear. I didn't followed what he wanted me to." Phillie murmured.
Eitan didn't answered for a few seconds and he breathed deeply. "Did you...Did you stayed with me out of pity?"
"No." Phillie immediately answered. "You know I didn't. Please believe me."
"We promised each other that we won't lie. No matter what happens." Eitan uttered. "I grew up in that sickening household that it traumatized me. Even if I received no love from my own mother, you were there. I confided on you, I trusted you to be honest with me, I..."
There was a sorrowful silence between them before Eitan continued. His strong grip loosened a bit as his eyes rested at the blank space in front of him.
"You disappoint me, Phillie. You have no principle at all." Eitan murmured lastly before he proceeded to his motor and hopped on it as quick and left in a speed.
Phillie attemped to grab the hem of his shirt before he could left but there was no strength left on her anymore as tears started to fall from her eyes down to her cheeks. At the same time, there was an unbelievable downpour that welcomed her tears.
Everything went blurry around but before she could get drenched, an umbrella was held on top of her. Nang nilingon iyon ay doon lang luminaw ang kaniyang paningin.
"What..How did you know I was here?" Phillie whispered as she wiped her tears off.
Kozma gently smiled at her. "Let's go home first."
METALLSITI, SAINT PETERSBURG, RUSSIA 22:08
Alone out the skirts of Saint Petersburg, where the Taggers were warned of not venturing alone, Eitan walked along the muddy path with his foot steps echoing across the whole town. The ground was not made, there were muds and puddle from the recent rain. There were parked trucks and destroyed cars around. Abandoned warehouses around and houses but everyone knew that there are habitants around.
Eitan kept his face hidden using his black hoodie while walking but his alert are on top figure. With his peripheral vision, he saw how a lot of men murmuring, emerged from his either sides.
"Go back to your place!" Some yelled.
Eitan remained walking with his hands inside his pocket.
