PROLOGUE
PIONEER SEAPORT, YATARNY, RUSSIA
The soft and cold wind caressed her nape as she lowered the scarf that was wrapped there just a minute ago. All she can hear was the hit of the small waves against the shore and the huge rocks around the beach.
With her closed eyes, it was almost a peaceful situation but her mind is a mess. She has everything but not that one thing.
Her jolly and lively eyes are long gone as if it just vanished with the accident.
Slowly, a coat was put around her shoulders as to keep her warm.
"Let's go inside. The wind is too cold." He said in a low voice.
She opened her eyes and her blue and bright eyes almost looked like the ocean in front of her. She then looked up at him beside her and saw how pain struck his eyes after looking at her.
Why are you eyes always like this? She thought.
Her long and blonde hair were tied behind her by his huge hand as to stop it from hitting her face.
"Where is your tie?" He asked.
She then lifted her wrist and he pulled the tie there as he sloppily tied her hair behind her head.
Small things like this was the first thing that she noticed when she woke up at the hospital. It is then said that she taught him how to tie her hair before when her hand was injured and had no other choice.
Nang matapos itali ang buhok ay nilingon siya muli nito.
"Did you..remember anything?" He asked.
She sighed. "Sorry, Ei."
"It's fine, you don't need to force yourself, Phillie. Let's go back to the car." Eitan said as he escorted her back to the car.
Phillie glanced back briefly at the ocean behind them.
The ocean tends to pull any emotion out of a human watching it. Sometimes it is sad, sorrowful and calm. But regardless of the emotion being pulled out, everyone is still entranced on the beauty of it.
Eitan placed his hand on her head as she crouched down and get in the car. Sumunod na rin si Eitan at sumakay sa loob at saka pina-andar na ang sasakyan.
Months after the accident, Phillie were persuaded to visit her one comfort place in attempt of remembering a thing from her past. The accident has taken some of her memory but still remembered the familiar warmth from Eitan.
Isinandal niya ang kaniyang ulo sa salamin habang nakatingin sa labas.
All she have is her tiny memory and Eitan who was with her the moment she woke up. Everything is so blurry that she had no choice but to hold tightly on Eitan's hand as to trust him. It was scary but as long as Eitan's beside her, she feels safe.
"I'll be out tonight so make sure to sleep early." Eitan said while driving.
"Is it going to be a dangerous job?" She asked.
Eitan fell silent for a moment as he gripped on the wheel. When Phillie realized that he's taking a lot of time to answer, she looked at him and tilted her head.
"Ei?" She called.
"No. I'll be beside you again when you wake up." He said as he smiled at her. His canines were a little bit visible.
Phillie nodded. "All right then, take care."
She was informed that her head hit a rock after falling off a stair. She was also briefed about her relationship with Eitan the reason why she feels so safe around him but Eitan insisted on not pressuring her. Instead, he stayed on the side the whole time, watching her, with his trembling hands and uneasy eyes.
