I've gone for too long living like I'm not alive. So I'm gonna start over tonight, beginning with you and I.When this memory fades I'm gonna make sure it's replaced With chances taken, hope embraced And have I told you...I'm not going Cause I've been waiting for a miracle And I'm not leavingI won't let you Let you give up on a miracle When it might save you...

Chapter Forty Three

Cole's Point Of View

Emma and I were sitting on the chairs, waiting for Jacob to get back. He'd been out there for over half and hour now, half of me wanted to go out there and see if he was okay but the other half-which was most of me-wanted to say here with Emma. I didn't want to go in and see Adrienne just yet, I'd only known her for a couple of days and I had somehow managed to warm to her, and now she's gone-Dead to the world. Jacob handled it better than I thought he would, I thought he'd go all wolf and mess everybody up but instead he shredded silent tears and the thing was he neverknew that he was crying.

'Are you okay?' I asked Emma who looked extremely upset.

Emma shook her head. 'I can't stop thinking about how this is myfault' tears rolled down her face, I used the sleeve of my shirt to wipe them away.

'This isn't your fault, it's Ryan, Samuel and Elizabeth's' I soothed her. 'Mostly Samuel and Elizabeth-Ryan's just along for the ride'

Emma hugged me and buried her face in my chest. 'I just feel so sorry for Jacob-he looks so torn up'

Jacob came speeding down the hall with Callum jogging closely behind him-speak of the devil and he shall come-They looked very suspicious as if they have-or about to-do something seriously bad. Jacob tapped me on the shoulder and looked around-probably to make sure that vamp doctor wasn't around. I looked up at him and then he looked around again.

'What's going on?' I hissed.

'Callum and I have some sort of plan...' Jacob began. 'We're gonna bring Adie back!' he lowered his voice, trying not to make his excitement obvious.

'Okay...' I mused. 'How's this going to work?'

'Avatar revival' Emma blurted out. 'I should've thought of that before'

'You know how to do it?' Jacob asked Emma who nodded and then shrugged before saying. 'I've never done it before, but I've seen it in movies and stuff' Jacob looked at Callum who shrugged his shoulders and looked at the double doors that Adrienne went through-alive-just a couple of hours ago.

'We have to act quick though, before her soul gets restless and decides to move on' Emma explained, standing up and heading to the double doors. 'That's not a good thing...'

'Why is it not a good thing?' Jacob interrupted in a demanding tone.

'Because if the soul moves on, Adrienne's a goner-forever-We have a couple of hours. Emma replied, looking at her watch-I had to admit she looked really cute when she knew her stuff. 'We need to get her out of here and to a place where there's lots of water...'

'First Beach' Callum blurted out, Jacob looked at Callum then back at Emma.

'Not my first suggestion-But that'll have to do' Emma sighed, pushing one of the doors open. Before we got to go any further Jacob's friends-The Pack-came jogging up the corridor in a rush and three other girls, including a middle aged woman, I'm guessing she's the grandmother-this can't be good.
