Chapter Twenty:

Adrienne’s Point Of View:

We’ve been in the woods for a good three hours, but quite a lot has happened. The Cullens showed the Wolves how to fight against the new born vampires and I had to admit-it was kind of entertaining to watch, I could tell that Bella was feeling the same way because the corner of her mouth was turned up in a smile as she watched Edward fight with Carlisle…I stepped back a bit, allowing more them more room to mess around.

 Edward knocked Carlisle to the ground and stood up straight, smirking at Bella, proud that he won a fight…Pfft, doesn’t he know not to celebrate too early?-Let’s just hope he’ll be on the side line when It comes to the actual fight.

 ‘One more thing…’ Jasper announced to the Cullens, Edward, Carlisle and the Wolves before Carlisle jumped up and knocked Edward to the ground. ‘Never turn your back on your enemy’ I smiled at this…Any idiot knows never to turn your back on your enemy…a definite side line guy.

 Carlisle had already explained to the wolves what the difference was between them and the new borns; I was surprised at the difference. They’re much faster, stronger and their eyes are blood red, the reason for this is that they still have their human blood running in their veins and that’ll last for a couple of months…it happens to all vampires when they first get changed…Bella cringed at this and composed herself.

‘Okay…we’re done’ Jasper shouted before taking Alice’s hand and speeding off, Emmett and Edward went over into a corner to talk about…probably men stuff, Carlisle and Esme got into their car and drove off. Emmett followed the blonde one-I forgot her name…Louise? Rosie? Rose…closer right?-Rosalie!-further into the woods in the same direction Alice and Jasper went, leaving me, Bella and Edward.

 Jacob growled in my direction, I smiled and waved at him. Edward looked blank for a while then his face relaxed and he looked at me.

‘Jacob’s relying on me to bring you home…he’d do it him self but he’s got mutt duties’ Edward smiled briefly at me before turning to place his arm around Bella’s shoulder. Edward began walking, I followed far behind…I felt incredibly awkward.

Bella stopped walking. ‘Edward…I’ll walk behind you, next to Adrienne’ Edward reluctantly removed his arm from Bella’s shoulder and watched as she came to stand next to me and smiled in a I’ve-got-a-few-questions-for-you way…I smiled back at her in a bother-me-and-I’ll-make-you-regret-it way, Edward didn’t notice this and continued walking.

‘How far is your car?-We’ve been walking forever…’ I whined, feeling like annoying the hell out of someone.

‘Just a few minutes…I’d carry you but these arms are reserved’ Edward turned to smile at Bella who shyly looked away, I made a gagging sound and Edward scowled and continued walking.

Three minutes later…

‘Ah!’ I shrieked. ‘My legs are burning!-Why the bloody hell is it so cold-In July!?’ I stopped walking and rested on a rock, the sky looked so white as if it was about to snow…Great.

‘The car is around here somewhere…At least I think it is…’ Edward muttered, looking around, we better not be lost.

‘Edward…are you sure you even drove the car?’ Bella asked, sitting on the rock opposite me.

‘Of course, I’m sure…Just don’t know where I parked it, that’s all’ Edward replied starting to walk again. ‘Stay here…do not move, promise me Bella’ Edward looked at Bella who nodded slowly. ‘Promise’ Edward pecked her lightly on the lips before walking again. ‘If I’m not back in less than ten minutes, call Charlie!’ Edward shouted before disappearing…flipping super speed.
