6:
The moment my house came into view, I flicked my wrist forward causing the wind to blow violently towards the front door, I made sure it didn't blow to hard or I'll blow the door off its hinges then I won't live to tell the tale of the giant bear because my mum will kill me. The door opened and slammed against the wall inside, I ran inside and slammed it behind me. My breath ragged out through my mouth, I slid down the door and tried to regain my breath.
Jacob's head peeped through the kitchen door, and he rushed over to me.
'Adrienne!-what's the matter?' Jacob asked, frantically as he lifted me up and sat me on the sofa.
'Glass of' I breathed in 'water, please' and breathed out again and allowed my head to fall back on the sofa.
Jacob rushed into the kitchen and returned with a glass of water, I gulped it down faster than the eye could blink and slammed the empty glass down on the table, I felt better.
'You gonna tell me what's wrong?' Jacob asked, crouching down in front of me. I could hear footsteps coming down the steps and Mum came and sat down next to me, she was wearing her painting apron, so that meant the strong smell of paint will hit me any moment now...here we go.
I covered my nose and leaned my head on my mother's chest; she wrapped her arms around me. 'I'm sorry about the paint stench...what's the matter Adie? Mum cooed, tucking my hair behind my ear.
'I saw a giant grizzly bear...so I ran and abandoned Betsy' I mumbled, tracing my finger over the floral design on her painting apron. Mum burst into a fit of giggles...I looked at Jacob who was chuckling as if he had something on his mind...what if this was one of him and his friend's stupid pranks?
'First of all who's Betsy and why'd you leave her with the giant grizzly bear?' Mum asked after calming down, then bursting into a large erupt of laughter when she mentioned 'giant grizzly bear' I frowned, my mother doesn't believe me.
'Betsy is the name of my truck and I was scared...I was gonna torch it or throw some water on it but my animal loving instinct took over then my scared shitless part over took the animal loving part so I ran like I was some kind of athlete' I frowned as I watched mum laugh some more, I'd completely forgotten that Jacob was sitting right in front of me listening to the conversation but his face looking like he needed to be somewhere else.
'Look, Adrienne, I know you don't like it here but making up a story about giant grizzly bears isn't going to make us pack up and leave instantly' Mom smiled, still feeling a bit giggly from the giant grizzly bears story.
'It's true!-Why don't you believe me?-Maybe if you saw it for yourself, then you'd be just as scared as I am!' I shrieked, running up the stairs and as usual making sure every time my foot came into contact with the step it made a loud booming sound.
Jacob's Point Of View:
I watched as Adrienne marched up the stairs, deliberately making sure that every time her foot hit the step, the sound was loud and attention seeking, I had to admit it was kind of funny that every time she went up and down those stairs she always did that due to how pissed off she always was.
'I'm sorry about this Jacob' Caroline groaned, she looked like the older version of Adrienne still pretty but older. 'Adrienne's just finding it hard to settle in' I gave her a sympathetic smile.
'It's cool, Miss. C' I said, standing up and returning to the kitchen and continuing my painting. While I painted the white kitchen yellow, I thought about what happened between Adrienne and me, I should have been more careful that's what Sam would tell me...but for some reason I wanted her to see me like that, I don't know why. I haven't even imprinted on her but yet I feel drawn to her, she's like a replica of Bella but with more style, attitude and mouth.
