Chapter Fifty Two

I stare at my reflection in the mirror...Why am I doing this to myself? Losing my mind on a tiny error,
I nearly left the real me on the shelf..."no, no, no, no..." To lose it all in the blur of the start! Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing, It's okay not to be okay...Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart.
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising, Just be true to who you are!

Chapter Fifty Two:

Jacob’s Point Of View:

She looked amazing; I don’t think that’s even a word to describe how Adrienne looked while she practiced for her Agni Kai with Azula in the front lawn of the house Carlisle hired on the FireNationIsland. We had been there for a day and so far, we haven’t done much but focus on Adrienne’s preparation. A line of fire sprouted out of Azula’s hand, it was heading straight to Adrienne, who was crouching in a battle position which we had to force her to do because she kept saying that it might split her front in two-I spent hours laughing at that. Adrienne stretched out her arms forcefully and the fire rebounded off of her palms that were wrapped in protective gloves and back to Azula who cupped it into her hands and bowed at Adrienne.

‘You’re doing very well, Adrienne’ Azula complimented, smiling. ‘One more round and then we’re done for the day’

‘This robe is so itchy!’ Adrienne whined, scratching her back before looking at me and saying. ‘Do these pants make my ass look giant?’ I laughed and took a glance at her bottom before shaking my head. Adrienne and Azula were the only girls out of the pack and the Cullens, the women stayed back at Forks to ease any upcoming suspicion.

Adrienne had on a bronze colored robe and brown peddle pushers, on her little feet were socks that covered any revealing skin and overlapped the pants a little and a pair of KEDS. The boys and I were sitting in the shade-for the sake of the Cullens-watching Azula and Adrienne, it had become more of a morning routine. ‘Take a fifteen minute break then come back’ Cole told Adrienne, as he switched on the hose and watered down the small flames.

It was pretty hot out; well I guess it makes sense considering that it was a Fire Island. Adrienne merrily skipped over to the table with the lemonade and the remnants of snacks-that the pack and I had wolfed down-she poured herself a glass and drank it all in one gulp before placing the cup back on the table and wiping her mouth. ‘I needed that…’ she sighed restfully, throwing herself onto the garden bench.

I went over and sat next to her. ‘How you feeling?’ I asked, sipping on the lemonade that had now become warm because I was too busy watching Adrienne to drink it.

‘I can’t even explain it’ Adrienne groaned, leaning back further into the bench. ‘I’m aching in places that I never thought could even ache’

I chuckled. ‘That means you’re doing it right then’

A smug look appeared on Adie’s face. ‘I know that…’ she joked, before laughing and rolling up her pants to reveal her semi-tanned legs and then doing the same with the sleeves of her robe. ‘Aahhh…’ she sighed again. ‘Am I making you hotter?’ I questioned, last thing I wanted for her was to get over heated. ‘I can move if you want…’

‘No, Jake, stay’ Adrienne said, placing her hand on my shoulder. I didn’t move a muscle, we spent the rest of her ‘break’ talking about all sorts of things, and it was almost like we never dated. There were plenty of things that we didn’t know about each other-like her favorite colors were mint green and lavender, she hates mushrooms and tablets-like I didn’t know that-and when she lived in England she had a goldfish called Gipsy which she had to give away to one of her cousins when she moved.
