Jane took her two brothers and parents separately in a different room of the police department to inform them of  Maura being intersex.

Jane's father, Frank Sr. didn't take the news well and left immediately after he said he doesn't approve.  Jane told her  papi that she doesn't need anyone's approval. She is a grown women and makes her money and doesn't ask for any of their financial support. Frank slapped Jane. Maura grabbed Jane in a hug immediately.  Babe are you okay. Before Frank could leave Patty showed up briefly and told Frank that he never wants to see him ever raise a hand to any of his children nor to his ex wife Angela or Frank wouldn't like the end result.  Frank said all cocky even though Frank knew how powerful Patty was. I will do as I please. Patty said than fine and I will do as I please. Frank leaves immediately. Jane and Maura tell Patty that wasn't necessary. Patty said no one messes with my family. The Rizzoli with the exception of Frank senior is now under his protection. Tommy being the jokester of the siblings.  Patty do you have a job for me that is legit . I just got released from prison and I have a week to find a legit job. Patty tells him to go Scotty O'Bryan's warehouse tomorrow at ten sharp in the morning. I will contact Scotty you will be there.  Patty says and Tommy don't screw it up because you won't be given another chance.  Patty leaves again without being spotted by other law officers.  Angela hits Tommy in the back of his head. Ma you know I need a job. I cannot mess this up because I know what can happen to me if I do. Ma that will be my incentive to stay on task and out of trouble. Tommy leaves before he hears any lectures from his older siblings and his curfew of 8 o'clock was thirty minutes away. Frankie said Ma don't worry I will drop him off so he won't be late. Angela hugs her baby boys by. Okay, in her eyes they will always be her babies even though Frankie and Jane are in their thirties and Tommy is 24 years old. This has been the first time Jane has ever spoke up to her papi.

Ma now understood why Jane asked for her key back but still didn't like it. Angela tells Maura that I have always seen you as my daughter.  Maybe Jane will make it legally and you can start working on now making me grand babies. You both know I am not getting any younger. Ma really don't push it. Jane Clementine Rizzoli don't use that tone with me. Korsak arrives and takes Angela home.

Maura tells Jane let's stop by your place to get several days of clothing, hygiene items and get Joe Friday. Joe Friday is Jane's dog. Maura you sure your turtle will get along with Joe Friday. Maura was too tired to correct Jane on the exact specie of her tortoise, Bass, that roams her home and has an entry dog door for him to come and go.
