Satan walked with you, hand in hand, as you walked through the Devildom streets. You carried a small bookbag filled with all the books you wanted from the library. Satan has a matching bag, but his is almost twice the size and over filling. In the hand that you weren't holding, he held three books that wouldn't fit in his bag.

"Did you get everything you wanted?" Satan asked you, breaking the previous comfortable silence.

"Yep!" you replied giddily. "And even if I didn't there's a 90 percent chance you already own it." He rolled his eyes at your jab and pointed to a coffee shop.

"Do you want something to drink? I'm sure your book bag is getting heavy." You looked incredulously at his surely 50 pounds on his hip. He gave you a look telling you to play along, and you let his illogical attempt at flirting slide. A small table right behind the window caught your eye. You let go of Satan's hand to speed-walk into the shop and steal the seat. He walked in after you and chuckled. You sat in the chair looking like you had nabbed a first edition signed copy of your favourite book. The books in his hand thumped loudly on the table as he sat down. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he lift the bag off his shoulders. Summoned by the loud thump of books, a waitress came up to the table and asked you both what you wanted. You ordered first, and Satan ordered a Turkish coffee and a slice of RedxRed apple pie.

"I'm sorry sir, we don't have either of those today. Turkish coffee is only served in the morning, because only one person knows how to make it, and we let the bakery next door make the special apple pies. Is there anything else I can get you?"

Satan's brow furrowed and he took a deep breath. "Okay then, can I have just a regular traditional hecchiato?"

"I'll have those right out for you two." The waitress nodded and walked back to the counter.

"What's Turkish coffee?" You ask Satan. He smiled and put his elbows on the table, leaning his chin on his hands.

"It's my favourite type of human world coffee. It's especially strong and made differently than usual coffee. Do you want to know how it's made?" You nodded happily and he went on to explain how they used a special coffee pot and something about finely ground coffee beans. He moved his hands to show what he was talking about, even though it didn't help very much. His eyes looked back and forth from his hands to you to make sure you were following. You nodded occasionally to tell him you understood, but everything went straight over your head. "And that's why they serve a glass of water with a cup, it's a very fancy drink." He finished his long-winded explanation and let out a sigh. Just before he was about to say something, the waitress walked up with both of your orders.

"Just let me know if you need anything, alright?" she walked ahead to the next table.

You both took a sip of your drinks. "What were you going to say?" He looked at you blankly before remembering.

"Oh, I was going to apologise."

"For what?" Did he do anything to make you mad? Not since a while ago when he insulted your cooking, thinking it was Lucifer's. But that was over a week ago now.

"For rambling on for so long. It probably wasn't the best thing to listen to while we were waiting."

You laughed, bringing the attention of a few people nearby. "Listening to you ramble is awesome! You just kinda... I don't know how to explain it." You racked your brain, trying to think of how to tell him how much you liked listening to his voice.

"You don't have to explain it," he took a sip of his coffee, "that's my job."

You both talked about some of the books you got at the library until you were done with your drinks.

"Let's go to that bakery next door to get you that apple pie you wanted." Satan paid for the food before quickly picking up his bag and extra books. He grabbed your hand and basically dragged you out of the coffee shop. You both walked up to the almost full pastry display, expect for one or two empty places.

"Good afternoon, could I have a slice of RedxRed apple pie?" His excited face fell as the man behind the counter pointed at one of the empty displays.

"Sorry sir, we sold the last one not too long ago. Was there anything else you wanted?"

Satan's eyes flared a faint green. "Alright then, that's it. I'm going to go punch a tree." He readjusted his books and walked out of the bakery.

The man behind the counter sighed, "At least he didn't punch the display."

"I'm so sorry for this. But if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go save a tree." You dug out a few grimm and put it on the counter to apologise again and ran to go make sure Satan didn't punch a tree hard enough for it to fall over and hit something.
