Trouble and Twinkle

“What the hell did you do Harry?” Louis yelled . “I don’t know” Harry stuttered. “One minute she was laughing the next instant   she is crying her lungs out.”

“Five damn minutes  Haz I screamed five bloody minutes we had left her alone with you”. I had been on the phone while Liam had gone to the washroom. The assistant director had come to give us some sheets which Louis was collecting. It was all calm and serene and in a split second the room was filled with Lux’s shrieks

She was not relenting to stop crying no matter what we did. I tried calling Teasdale but she didn’t answer. “The babysitter . Where is she ? She could help.” Liam said .The babysitter she was suppose to be here fifteen minutes ago. Irresponsible  girl I thought I’m not a fan of people who don’t take their jobs seriously.

Lux was turning blue and Harry was completely red. There was a knock on the door. Liam opened it. A girl with long black hair entered. “Hi she said I m actually looking for…. “YOU” I cut her in mid sentence. She looked at me in surprise. I gave her my stare. The intense one .This girl needs to be taught a lesson. She  was suppose to be intimidated by it but instead she gazed at me with piercing black eyes the most beautiful eyes. Her eyes twinkled just like stars. “Yes?” she questioned.I dropped out of the trance and pointed towards Lux.”Handle her”, I said.

She walked in quietly taking Lux from Harry. She looked at Lux’s teary eyes and wiped her tears gently. “Hey love she whispered please don’t cry”. Twinkle held Lux delicately placing her head on her shoulder and started patting her back .After a few minutes Lux’s sobbing stopped and she let out a loud burp a bit too loud for her size. She put her arms around Twinkle’s neck and drifted off to sleep.

Wait did I call the babysitter Twinkle ?. Ummm okay in my defense I don’t know her name. Twinkle placed Lux delicately on the couch. There was complete silence in the room as if a storm had just passed.

Phew!! Harry heaved a sigh of relief. “What happened to her?” Louis questioned.

“Did she drink milk ?”, Twinkle questioned back.

“Yeah quite a bit.” Harry replied.

“Maybe her stomach couldn’t take it happens to toddlers .Don’t worry. She smiled. Twinkle has a dazzling smile too.

”Thank you.”, Liam said shaking her hand.

“Not a problem”, she replied back.

“Well it could’ve been a problem”,I said .She looked back at me.

“Zayn”, Harry tried to stop me but I raised my hand.

“Listen miss you were suppose to be here 20 minutes prior to handle the baby if you wouldn’t have procrastinated your arrival here.” She tilted her head a bit and continued to look at me as if I was a masterpiece at the art gallery. The audacity she has.

“Punctuality at work is important Miss. Lux went through so much trouble because of your tardiness.”

I was angry .Yes I was. Lux is precious but what aggravated me further was her nerve to smile and stay so calm and patient.

Her lips curved into a smile. She looked at me intently  and said , “I have missed you so much.”
