Relationships

You grow together
You grow apart
You grow another
Empty start

And stranger now
Was foe back then
The one you hate
Was once your friend

Connections flourish
Connections end
The illusion of forever
Must now descend

Into conflicts growing
and trying to amend
But alas the cycle
Must go on again

And then you'll see
That bonds can break
And you must put
Your heart at stake

For people change
As people do
And life's a game
That has no rules

There is no forever
I know it's cruel
But...

we move on

We say goodbye
We cry
We pretend it's alright
We forget rejection
And start again like people do
