You weren't born to fit society's aesthetic
A standard of beauty that no one can reach
Symmetrical to the mere reflection of a slim waist or chiseled abs
An hourglass figure or a heart shaped face
As if your body defined who you are
Beauty is found in your eyes when you are fixated on something you love
It's found in the laughter and joy you have
It's found in the acts of kindness you do
The way you hope even when you aren't certain of the future
The way you uplift the people around you
The way you overcame the pain you thought you'd never be able to escape
