It is the things that move us
that shape us
It molds the things we value
the moments we cherish
So when I say I love you
it means
I have gone down the rabbit hole
fallen in too deep to escape unscathed
Now in a word of what if's and if only's
blue stained memories
replaced with golden flashbacks
When my heart says I love you
Woman transformed into blushing school girl
I say welcome to
The butterflies that have already made
themselves at home
I say goodbye to fear
And lock the door behind them
I am now lost in a new chamber of my heart
The one that is dedicated to you
I fall and I laugh as I do
Because my heart is a wild thing
It does not carry parachutes
When I say I love you
It means that I have taught myself another song
A song so beautiful I must share it with you
So our hearts can sing in harmony
