Uncontrollable (Katsuki Bakugo x Reader)

The First Challengeシ

~Author POV~

You raced ahead of your other classmates, staying close to the front as you entered the darkened passage. You could feel many people ramming against you, shoving your body back and forth like a game of hot potato.

You quickly grew annoyed, bending down and digging your fingers into the stone ground, pulling out multiple chunks of earth and attaching them to your body like plates of armour. You mainly kept them attached to your forearms, using them as shields or too push past the others.

Suddenly, you felt a cool gust of wind blow past you, and you leapt into the air right as a sheet of ice spread out beneath you, freezing many people in place. As you landed, you could see Todoroki blazing by, skating across the ground and leaving a trail of ice behind him.

"NOT SO FAST!" you yelled as you stomped down on the ice, causing it to crack enough and reveal the earth beneath it. You stood in the small crack, banding your legs and sending a burst of energy towards each of your feet.

Once you felt you'd charged up enough, you blasted the energy into the ground, allowing yourself to shoot forwards with two pillars of earth being left behind. You flew through the air, soon being caught up by Bakugo, Kirishima, Yoayorozu, and Aoyama who all used their quirks to escape the ice and chase after half and half.

"I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY YOU ICYHOT BASTARD!" Bakugo screamed as he propelled himself through the air, short explosions pumping out of his palms.

Many of your other classmates escaped the ice, but lots of them were having trouble navigating it, leaving you five in the lead. Aoyama was using his naval laser to fly through the sky, and Yoayorozu had created a sort of pole vaulting stick which she used to leap over the ice patches. You managed to stay up high, unfortunately having to drop your earthen armour so you could glide through the air by manipulating the wind currents around your body.

Aside from Bakugo, there wasn't anyone else in your airspace, until out of nowhere, Mineta came bounding along. He leapt high in the air, spouting some nonsense at Todoroki before being knocked in the head by a giant metal machine. Honestly, if it hadn't gotten Mineta, you probably wouldn't have been able to dodge so easily. You slowed your pace slightly, maneuvering around the machine and looking to your right to see about a dozen massive machines.

They were made of a dark green metal, towering over you with bright red lasers for eyes. Clouds of dust and smoke billowed out from their wheels as they thundered towards you, stirring much panic from the various classes.

"Hmm, they're kinda unbalanced," you thought to yourself, landing and tapping your chin as you looked at their small bases. As if he read your mind, Todoroki suddenly froze the robots when they were mid motion, clearing a path for his body to make it through.

"HE STOPPED THE ROBOTS!" someone yelled, pointing at their frozen figures.

Unfortunately, you didn't think the rest of the students had made the same analysis as the two of you had, and immediately charged the bots head on.
Even you just barely made it through, sliding beneath the base of a smaller machine before the ice started to crumble. One by one, the metal beasts crashed to the ground, sending out waves of dust and shattered ice along with them.

"Well folks, we have Todoroki and L/n from class 1A pulling out to an early lead! Amazing, their skills seem evenly matched!" Present Mic yelled through the intercom as Todoroki, who you were rapidly gaining on, looked back at you.
