Uncontrollable (Katsuki Bakugo x Reader)

Redesigned

Your first task after returning to UA was to prepare for your upcoming provisional hero licensing exam. You and the rest of class 1A would do this by making upgrades to your costumes, and creating some ultimate moves. According to Aizawa, ultimate moves were special abilities which would ensure your victory in the event that you were faced with a difficult situation. While you already had some moves which fell into that category, you decided you wanted to focus on a different aspect of your quirk. The idea for this ability was given to you by Rika during your last meeting.

"You know, since our quirk seems to have grown within you, there's something that I think you should try."

"Really? What is it?"

"It's a difficult thing to master, and none of the others have ever managed to do this completely. Even I could only ever get a partial hold on this move. It started with the third. He thought that he could expand the range of this quirk. Since there are many materials in this world containing the elements, he saw no reason why he couldn't manipulate them as well."

"Wait, really? What kinds of things?"

"The third managed to control forms of metal by focusing on the minerals within them. He also figured out how to manipulate lava, by controlling the melted rock. The fourth and fifth holders learned to control plants and sand respectively. In my time, I learned to control sand with the help of my predecessor. I also discovered that I could redirect lightning from the sky, and manipulate the blood inside a persons body."

With Rika's story still fresh in your mind, you made your way to the development studio, as advised by Mr. Aizawa. You definitely didn't feel ready to redirect lightning, or try to control a persons blood, so you would start small. You were going to ask if they had some metal that you could borrow in an attempt to learn the ability of the third user; metal control.

Also, you'd decided that you wanted to revamp your costume. While you liked the design, it needed improvements. And especially after learning so much new information about your quirk, it made you want to entirely rebrand your hero identity.

"Here we aaare! The development studio!"

"Hell yeah, I can't wait to make some upgrades to my costume!"

"Whatever. You idiots better not get in my way!"

Oh yeah. Mina, Kirishima and Bakugo had taken it upon themselves to join you. Mina got bored, Kirishima wanted some new gear, and Bakugo wanted to be better than everyone. So that's why they were there.

You walked into the studio where Mr. Power Loader and that girl from the sports festival were hard at work. What was her name? Hatsumei? She'd already managed to back Mina into a corner, offering her various creations that she thought might be useful to the acid quirk user. Kirishima and Bakugo were off in another corner rooting through a pile of other support items.

Eraser Head had only told your class to make upgrades to their costumes, but you were sure that you wanted to make some big changes. You made your way over to where Mr. Power Loader sat, careful to stay out of Hatsumei's line of sight.

"Hey, you're here for some costume upgrades, right?" Mr. Power Loader asked. "Eraser told me all about it. What can I do for ya?"

"That's right. I was actually wondering if it would be possible to completely redesign my costume?" you asked hesitantly, placing the costume case on the table he sat at.
