The next bracket was set.

Izuku Midoriya: Shoto Todoroki

Ibara Shiozaki : Y/N L/N

Tenya Iida : Fumikage Tokoyami

Eijirou Kirishima : Katsuki Bakugo

The match between Midoriya and Todoroki was about to start, and you were busy planning your own strategy to use against Shiozaki.

Assuming her vines were like any other plant, they'd be filled with water. In that case, it would be easy for you to control the water within the vines, also controlling her only means of offence and defence. Although it's not a perfect strategy, if you could just hold off her vines using water, you could either blow her out of the arena using air, or immobilize her using the earth. So far, it was looking like your most viable option.

"We're starting off the second round with a bang! It's the guy who won his first fight with a landslide of ice, quiet literally leaving half the audience frozen! Class 1A's Shoto Todoroki! And this kid almost walked out of his first fight, but made a steady comeback. Also from class 1A, Izuku Midoriya!"

Everyone in your class grew tense, completely unsure of how who would win this fight. Tokoyami said he believed it would depend on whether or not Midoriya could get close to Todoroki, to which many people seemed to agree.

"Both contestants have stayed at the top throughout this competition, but which one will prevail? Get ready for...Midoriya versus Todoroki! BEGIN!"

Todoroki immediately sent a massive spike of ice towards Midoriya who used just one finger to send a powerful blast of energy right back at him. The ice was shattered on contact, erupting into a million pieces as it rained down throughout the stadium. Todoroki encased himself in ice for protection against the rebound of power from Midoriya's attack, covering his face as the icy cold wind rushed up and past the audience.

"So...cold," you shivered, letting out a gentle breath of fiery air and warming the space around your body.

The exact same pattern of attacks was repeated, Todoroki looking completely baffled at Midoriya's power. However, it was clear Midoriya wouldn't be able to keep this up forever as two of his fingers had already swollen to a deep, bruised, purple.

"OH NO CRAP! I'm missing it!" Kirishima exclaimed as he ran out onto the balcony, just having finished his tie breaker with Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.

"Hey! Nice job on your win, Kirishima!" Sero exclaimed, congratulating your spikey haired friend.

"Hey, thanks man! Looks like I'm going up against Bakugo next," he smirked, placing his hands on his hips and giving said boy a toothy grin.

"I'll kill you," Bakugo muttered, eyes trained on the action below.

"Yea sure! In your dreams! But honestly, it's crazy how you have moves that can blast the whole stadium! You too Y/N! And Todoroki and Midoriya," Kirishima sighed, pointing down to the fight that your eyes were glued to.

"Yea, plus you guys don't have to pause between attacks. Must be nice," Sero added, lazily looking over at you and Bakugo from his place next to Kaminari.
