You tried.

You really tried to sleep that night, but after what Bakugo said to Midoriya, you just couldn't.

"Midoriya, you didn't tell him about One for All, did you?" you asked the startled boy, receiving a head shake in return.

"No...but he might've figured it out," he whispered back, the two of you watching as he disappeared within the elevator.

"Well...what are you gonna do if he knows?" you asked again.

"I...I don't know. I doubt Kacchan would tell anyone though if he did find out...but All Might would probably be pretty upset," he sighed, looking down at the ground.

"Alright. Listen up. Whatever happens tonight, I need you to tell me about, okay? Because there's something I've had to tell you for a while...but if Bakugo can keep your secret, that could change everything".

Midoriya had agreed to tell you about whatever was about to go down after seeing the concern and sincerity in your eyes. However, that didn't change the fact that every couple of seconds, an explosion went off in the distance, and you knew exactly who they came from.

Everyone in the dorms was asleep, unable to hear the faint rumbles; except for you. It was agonizing. You knew they were fighting. You knew what was happening. But you were just laying there. You tried to cover your head with a blanket, but it didn't work. It was like with every second that passed, the volume of the explosions increased, along with your concern.

Eventually the curiosity became too much, seeming to suffocate you as you leapt out of bed. You had to see what was going on. You had to find out what Bakugo knew.

You quickly entered the elevator, careful to be quiet as you made your way down to ground level, sneaking out the front door. The night air was slightly cool since it was nearing the end of summer, but it was still pleasant out. The moon shone high in the sky which was speckled with bright stars, reminding you of the nights at training camp.

However, that reminiscent feeling quickly faded when another explosion went off in the distance, and you immediately took off after the noise. Your sneakers tapped along the road as you followed the sound, which seemed to get louder with every step you took.

Eventually, you found yourself at Ground Beta, the light from Bakugo's explosions shining up against some buildings not too far in. In order to get a better view and avoid being spotted, you flew up to the top of the buildings. The concrete trembled with every blast as you hopped over gaps between the walls. Eventually, you spotted the boys. They were down below on the ground, brutally taking their anger out on each other. You placed your hands on the edge of the roof, the wind from their attacks blowing your hair around like a wild mane.

Clouds of smoke billowed up above the pair as they delivered one blow after another. Glass from the windows of the surrounding buildings was shattered all over the place, and the road pavement was scuffed with ash and soot. Both boys had intense looks on their faces, and blood was dripping from the corner of Midoriya's mouth as he managed to knock Bakugo down, the blond tumbling across the ground.

"Hey, are you okay?" Midoriya asked, his mood changing suddenly as he stretched a hand out to Bakugo, who simply knocked it away.

"Dont you dare worry about me! Attack me! Why won't you fight back?" Bakugo demanded, his voice splintering with every word. "WHY'D I END UP HAVING TO CHASE AFTER SOMEONE WHO WAS ALWAYS SO FAR BEHIND ME?"
