Chapter 3

After a relaxing weekend, where I read the new volume of Fantasy World completely through, it's now Monday afternoon and I'm standing annoyed again in front of the open hood of my car. If only I had at least a little idea about it, maybe I could find the problem myself.

Unfortunately, the call to the auto repair shop didn't bring me much. The chief mechanic only said that he couldn't send me one of his employees before Wednesday or Thursday. Or else I would have to pay again to have my car towed and brought to the repair shop.

But since the last time my car had to be towed, I almost sat on my butt in shock at the prices, I want to do without it this time. The repair will already burden my bank account quite a lot.

So I'm standing there again, staring at the engine, when someone suddenly puts his arm over my shoulder and says: "Hey my cutie. Were you able to find the problem?" "Wow, that's really nice of you, thank you very much."

"I already know how you can thank me, too."

"You invite me for a coffee. Or you help me with the shopping at the hardware store. With your help it would go much faster. Then I wouldn't have to look for everything first."

"Oh I can do both, too. I don't have anything else planned for today anyway."

"Well then, the deal is set. I'll get your car ready to go and you'll buy me coffee in return, but only after the hardware store."

"Yeah, I'd love to." I really had to grin, since I was totally happy. He quickly ran to his pickup truck and got his toolbox. Then he looked at my engine and smiled.

"That will be fixed in no time. See there? There's a cable that's loose. I'll tie it back on for you and then you go start the engine."

"Mhm I will." He reattached the cable, I started the engine and he signaled me to turn the engine off again. Then he screwed something else in it, got a bottle of engine oil from his car and put it in mine. I had to start the engine again and suddenly the noise it made and the burnt smell were gone.

"Now you should be able to drive again without any problems. But I suggest you replace some of the old parts. Some of the bolts should be replaced too, the threads are pretty much screwed up."

"Thank you very much. And yes, I really should do that. But that also costs a lot of money and I don't have that."

"If you want, I can find the parts for you on the internet for a good price and then install them for you."

"You'd do that?"

"Sure. But only because you're so cute."

"I am not cute."

"Mhhh, but I actually think you're cute." Replied Xiao Zhan with a smile as he wiped his hands on a cloth.

He closed the hood and took his tools away again. When he came back, he showed me his shopping list. "Are you going to build a house?" I asked him when I saw what all he had on it.
