When I woke up this morning, I had a great idea for Zhan's garden. I immediately wrote it down and then continued working on my idea when I had lunch break. I'm really excited and looking forward to working with Zhan on and in his house for the next little while.

I even asked my boss if I could only do early shifts for the next while. He wanted to know why, of course, and I told him that I wanted to help someone renovate his house. My boss thought about it for a moment and said, "Agreed. But if he needs materials for his renovation, you bring him here."

"Of course boss, I did that yesterday too. Besides, he seems to prefer our hardware store because he can get everything he needs here and even order what we don't have."

I explained to him that Zhan wants to help me with my car and in return I will help him with his house and garden. "Oh wow, until yesterday afternoon you didn't even have the courage to approach him and now he's Zhan and you're even helping him with his house. Did I miss anything yesterday?"

"I already told you. I was standing by the car and he came and helped me right away. To thank him, I helped him with the shopping and afterwards we went to the café and then he took me to his house. He told me about his plans for the house and I offered to help him, because he also wants to help me with my car. It saves me an incredible amount of money. Thanks to him, I saved almost 2,500 yuan since I don't have to have my car repaired after all."

"Yes I understand all that. But how come you suddenly have no problem talking to him?"

"I don't know. My brother advised me to take my time and get to know him and then yesterday we talked about things that interested me. Then it was really easy for me to talk to him and I realized what a cool guy he is."

We went back to work and I couldn't wait until we finally finished our shift and I could go see Zhan. I even wrote him a message about my idea and he thinks it's great. I am really happy that he likes this idea and gives me a free hand. I also have the list for the needed materials ready.
