Hey^^
Yes, I am speaking with you, guy.
Or should I better say - let me think - arrogant prat, selfish idiot, careless foul?
Well - choose.
I haven't heard anything from you lately and I just thought I'd text you again.
Yes, I'm sending a letter, cause we both know the two of us both changed our e-mail accounts and our phone numbers.
No, I did not try to call you.
No, I did not see you tried it too.
No, I don't regret a word that was said that night.
No, I didn't cry a single tear over you and NO, I am not lying.
The water marks on the paper are from the rain, you know. They said it will rain soon, ya know?
I just wanted to know how you are and make sure I'm better off than you now.
No, I'm not writing the letter because I am missing you. I'm just bored, ya know.
So - I heard you are going to Usten High School.
Well, appears that we will see each other again. After one year.
Me looking forward to it?
Don't make me lie!
So... maybe you got bored too recently and will write back?
Not that I'm wishing for it. If it was up to me you could just disappear and never ever come back. Like you did a year ago.
So, don't let your hopes lift you up. They're useless and wasted.
Yours sincerely,
Hayley.
P.S.: I hate you.

That was the letter I received on this one, tragic and memorable Monday morning.

I read it in the parking ride of our school's gym.

And it sent shivers down my spine. Not because I was afraid, hell; of course not.

But because of the memories. The memories that came floating back to me like waves - unstoppable and once they caught you, they ain't let you go anywhere.

That's what happened to me.

All I could do was sit there and stare out of my car's front window, into the rain, into space.

And all I could think of was this one girl.

Hayley.
