I woke up feeling extremely groggy. When my eyes opened slightly, I was surprised to see the whole gang including Dinah, and Lauren sitting around my bed. I moaned lightly feeling the drugs and the effect they had on me at the moment. I didn't completely feel alright. Mostly because my side hurt like a bitch. "She's awake." Lauren said.
I felt a hand being placed on top of my hand and someone's face was now hovering over me. My vision was a little blurry which caused me to blink a lot until it cleared and I was able to see Camila above me. "Hey sweetie. How are you feeling?"
My mouth was dry and I felt like I was using every muscle in my body to create a sentence. "I can't even."
Everyone laughed and Camila kissed my cheek, "Okay, then don't." Mila teased. She scooted her chair closer to the bed as the legs squeaked across the tile floor causing a ear pounding sound to be projected throughout the hospital room.
"Gawd, Mila. We need our ears to perform." Dinah joked as she sat up on her chair.
"Baby," Mila called to me.
I turned to her slightly and I saw her relieved smile, "Dinah and Lauren came down to see you."
"I heard them," My voice was almost gone. "I just can't acknowledge them at the moment." I reached my hand down to my side and barely touched it to wince at the pain.
Camila grabbed my hand and held it, "You may not want to touch that. They cut into you only a few hours ago."
"A few hours? What time is it?" I asked finally regaining the little bit of brain power and ability to converse.
"Almost 5 PM." Lauren said walking closer to me to give me a long awaited hug. "Can't believe your ribs were broken and you didn't even bother to notice." Lauren stayed in the hug a little too long for Mila's comfort, but I didn't mind it. In all honesty, I know that if I never had the chance with Camila or Mila broke up with me, Lauren would probably snatch me up in a heartbeat. Just because she's one of my best friends doesn't mean anything. There's always been that certain type of tension between the two of us. I just didn't fully acknowledge it until the wedding.
My voice was like a groan, "I know. I'm pretty bad ass, huh?"
"Definitely, y/n." Lauren replied grabbing one of the chairs on the other side of my bed.
Mila's hand tightened up, and I looked at her to shoot her a smile.
Dinah got up from her chair and hugged me, then put her mouth by my ear to whisper to me. "Y/N, if you ever scare us like this again, I will personally put you back in this hopsital. You got me stressing way too much for a vacation."
When she pulled away I laughed, "Yeah, it should've stayed a vacation. You all, including Mila, should have stayed at home."
They all exchanged glances, "We can't just do that. You're special to all of us and you're in the hospital. We aren't just going to pretend that you aren't here just because it's a vacation." Lauren smiled. Her emerald eyes glaring up at me.
I rolled my eyes at the cheesy explanation. "Well, in that case. You've all seen me. Now, go home and go see your families."
Mila's hand tightened around mine again, as Ally spoke up, "We have some good news, baby girl."
"Spit it out."
Ally smiled so huge I thought her teeth would've broke into a million pieces, "So, you're parents have decided to wait until the break is over to take you back with them."
I was extremely upset that Ally would even say that given my condition at the moment, and knowing that I'm not able to get up and storm out in a huff. "Why the hell are you smiling about that? That's not good news, that's fucking terrible. They aren't taking me away. I'd rather jump off the side of this building than go back with them."
Mila hit my arm, "Stop that, y/n. I'm serious. Don't talk like that."
Ally's face got a little more serious hearing my rant, "You didn't let me finish. By that time, Uncle Mike's legal guardian's papers will be complete and they won't be able to take you away."
I could feel the tears of happiness well up in my eyes, "You're completely serious?" Everyone nodded noticing how emotional I was becoming. One tear fell down my cheek and I quickly wiped it. The girls awed as they ran to the bed and gave me a huge group hug. "Thank you." I whispered.
Dinah giggled as the girls began to pull away, "No problem. We won't let anyone hurt you."
Camila pulled the rail down and tried to crawl in, but Normani spoke up, "We are about to leave, Mila. There's no point in laying down."
Camila groaned as she put the railing back up, "Ugh, but I wanna stay."
My eyebrow raised at the girls, "Where are you guys going?"
Ally walked out of the door without saying goodbye followed by Dinah, Lauren smiled. "We have to go do some errands really quick, but we'll come by the house to see you."
"I'm going home today?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah, given the circumstances it should be around 8. But get some rest, okay kid?" Lauren patted my knee before she walked out of the room.
"Come on, Mila!" Normani called as she walked out of the room.
"In a sec, Mani!" Camila yelled back.
Camila looked at me and smiled, "I'm so happy that you made it out okay. I love you, and I'm sorry I have to leave you." She pulled herself in to connect her lips with mine. I could tell she was trying her hardest to not jump me right there.
"Karla, now!" Normani yelled from the hall.
Camila pulled away with a smile, "Your uncle has your phone. It's charged so text me when you're on your way home and I'll meet you there."
I nodded as she left the room swaying her ass. Almost giving me heart palpitations. It didn't take long until I started to drift off into a deep sleep. It was almost easier than it has been.

I was woke up by my Uncle around 8. He was followed in by the two male nurses that took me to my room when Ally was here. "Come on, y/n. We gotta go home."
I nodded as the darker man carefully took out my IV before he picked me up and sat me in the wheelchair. As we were on our way down the hall, Russell turned to me with a smile, "It's really nice to meet you, Ms. Y/L/N. You had a lot of beautiful girls in your room today, but you were by far the most beautiful."
I was a little freaked out, but a compliment is a compliment. "Thanks, Russell. Oh and thanks for helping me today."
He nodded as he left me with the other male nurse, the flirtier one.
My uncle stayed quiet as the man wheeled me out to the car. Mike gave me my phone and I saw Ally had texted me to check up.
The flirty make nurse helped me in the passenger seat and smiled as he handed me a small slip of paper. "Give this to your friend Ally, please."
I nodded feeling extremely weirded out. Like I know this man is unaware that Ally is basically my mother, but it's still weird to see people want to try and hook up with her. It's just awkward.

I texted Ally about the male nurse.

Y/N: your cowboy Cassanova in scrubs gave me a slip of paper with his number on it and told me to give it to u

Ally: oh god. how awkward was that?

Y/N: how awkward do you think it was?

Ally: extremely. especially for u. I'm like your mother & this guy is asking to hook up with me. lmao xD

Y/N: I WAS JUST THINKING THAT OMF! but do u want it? I'll text it to you. I'm not comfortable giving you a ratty slip of paper

Ally: maybe....

I sent her the number and went to find mine and Mila's messages.

Y/N: hey bby. we are on our way. u still coming over or are u going to stay with the girls?

Camila: yay! umm I'll see u at the house. can't talk though, I gotta finish my errands. love u. bye

I began to grow worried over these 'errands'. Since they were supposed to be in vacation, there's not supposed to be any errands.

I decided to just shake the concerned thoughts out of my head and open my texts with Jessie. I needed to know if she was alright. Ever since I heard she didn't show up to school after our altercation, I started to get worried.
I began typing out a message to her on my phone. I guess I should send it, I mean, go hard or go home.

Y/N: hey Jess. I heard you haven't been going to school from James. I know I may have upset you the other day & I'm sorry about that. but I just hope you're okay since no one has been able to communicate with you.

We were halfway home when my phone went off out of nowhere as I was staring out the window.

Jessie: U made your decision, y/n. I'm kinda pissed but it's not my place to care anymore.

Y/N: there's a deeper meaning as to why I made my decision that I can't tell you about yet. and I'm happy you messaged me back. I hope you go back to school so James won't bother me.

Jessie: I don't understand what can be deeper than not choosing your best friend. & don't worry about me. I'll be ok.

Y/N: u don't have to tell me twice. & no one understands right now. you will soon I swear. but until then I just thought I would try to get you to text me. anyways I'm almost home. gtg

She never replied to me, and I expected as much. Why should she? I kinda just shut the conversation down so that there wouldn't be any lingering texts between her and I.

As we drove up to the mansion, I noticed it was oddly dark, but I didn't mind it. I opened my door as my Uncle ran to my side to help hold me up so I could walk up to the front door. When we made it to the front, he took out his keys and unlocked the door. The front's light was turned off which was weird because we usually had the doorway lit up so we could see how to get in and out of the house. When he opened the door, the lights turned on and revealed all 5 girls and hundreds of presents and balloons scattered around them. They screamed at the same time, "Surprise!"
It scared the absolute shit out of me causing me to jump and fall down on my back. A thousand jabbing daggers went up and down my spine as I laid on the floor. I began to black out feeling extremely hazed. I could hear Mila as she talked to me trying to get me to wake up, "Baby, please." I kept hearing those words echo as everything faded to black.
