"Are you guys ready?" I shout across the room.
"Yeah!" They collectively answers.
A few weeks have passed and finally, all of their songs were finished. We prerecorded the backing music for the event we were going to perform. In those few weeks, we have finalized the dance, positions, and stage practices already. All that was left was performing the song itself.
Seeing as I was going to perform twice, first with QUARTET NIGHT and next with STARISH I had to manage my time extra well. Making sure I memorize both performances. Within those weeks I had continuously talked with Uncle to approve of my plan. He agreed but in the end, he said something about 'announcing his end of the deal' at a later date. I was nervous about what he was going to make me do but for the time being, I have to focus on the performance.
We all arrive at the place and met in the hallways. I could feel the tension from the two groups as they had 'betted me' or whatever. Their little 'bet' was also one of the reasons why I asked Uncle to approve of my plan.
"Alright. Let's stop this before someone lashes out." I step in the middle of their group and sigh. "I'll meet you guys after okay?"
STARISH eventually went into their changing room to get ready. While I was left with QUARTER NIGHT.
"You guys get ready fast." I noticed their outfits and well-done hair and make-up.
"You have to get ready as well." Reiji smiles and pushes me inside the changing room, meant only for me. Since well, I am a woman.
"Don't make us wait." Camus said in his usual cold tone.
"Alright!" I head in and got changed. The usual make-up artist and stylist do their thing to make me match their theme.
"You're good to go!" They lead me to the mirror for any changes.
"This is amazing!" I do a 360 in front of a full-body mirror and admired my stage outfit. It was a simple, yet intricate designed button-down shirt. An appropriate length skirt to tuck in the top and a few accessories to accentuate the look.
"You ready?" I hear Ranmaru's voice and then the door opening.
"You're lucky I wasn't in the middle of changing." I squint my eyes as they enter.
"Wow!" Reiji looks up and down at my outfit. Nothing other than admiration in his eyes.
"You look good." Ai compliments, rarely.
"Not bad." Camus nods.
"Now we all match!" I do a little spin.

"Let's rock this world!" Ranmaru pumps us up.
"Let's get out there!" Reiji drags us along.
The event starts with the announcer introducing the purpose of the event and the groups performing, which were the two mentioned previously. We wait backstage, waiting for our cue and having a last-minute practice when STARISH comes up to us all dressed up.
"Good luck out there." Tokiya bows.
"Even if it's a competition, we still wanted to greet you." Syo shyly looks away.
"Good luck!!" Natuski beams at us.
"Do well lady." Ren sends a flying kiss.
"The muses shall guide you." Cecil holds my hand.
"We'll be watching you lil sis!" Otoya resisted hugging me.
"We can't wait." Masato smiles.
"Save your energy for later okay." I give them a smile. "For now I'm focused on these guys alone."
"That's right." Ranmaru steps in front of me.
"I'll look forward to your performance." Camus looks down at them.
"I can't calculate who would win but we'll beat you." Ai steps in as well.
"Watch the true professional my juniors!" Reiji tips his fedora.
"AND NOW! We shall welcome QUARTET NIGHT and their temporary member...Melody!" The announcer says our cue.
"Hands together!" Reiji makes us put our hands in the middle, topping each other's hands. "Let's show them what we got!"
We enter the stage and as soon as we did cheers erupted around is. This was just a teaser song for the actual competition yet so many people attend.
I calm my nerves as I stand in place. We wait for the music to start and begin performing.
