"Let go of me!" He won't leave me alone. I don't want this. He's drunk. He's so unpredictable when he had too much to drink. "Please let go of me." I start crying but he doesn't care.

"Vic? Vic please wake up!" I sit up straight in bed. My heart is racing and I can feel tears on my cheeks. "Vic?" It's so dark I can't see Charlie but just hearing his voice makes my heart slow down a little bit. "Charlie?" I say, my voice still trembling. His hand touches my arms softly. For a second I flinch but then I relax.

I lay back down in bed, curling up in Charlie's arms. "Did you have a nightmare?" I nod my head against his chest. I haven't had a bad dream for a while now... right after Max and I broke up memories from our relationship haunted me everywhere but it was the worst at night. It got better over time and around the time Charlie showed up at my club the dreams completely stopped.

"I'm so sorry Vic." I really don't wanna talk about right now. I just wanna get my mind of it. I lift up my head and place my lips on Charlie's. For a second he seems surprised but he kisses me back right away. His hand finds its way into my hair and my heart starts racing again, only that this time it's a good racing.

After my dream and that kiss there is no way I can go back to sleep right now. When I was really little and I had a nightmare grandpa used to make me a hot chocolate and for whatever reason I feel like that's what I need right now. I sit back up and throw the blanket back. "Where are you going?" - "I'm gonna go make myself a hot chocolate... I'll be right back."

I carefully find my way through the darkness. Out on the living area I turn on the light and head over to the kitchen counter. With my hot chocolate I walk outside onto the balcony. I take a few deep breaths and the fresh air compared with the smell of my chocolate somehow calms me. The sun is gonna rise soon, the first lights are already on.

After a while I can hear footsteps behind me and the familiar feeling of Charlie's arms around my waist. "Are you ok?" I lean back against his chest. "I'll be fine... yesterday was just really intense." For a while neither one of us says anything, we just watch more and more lights get turned on, the city slowly awakening.

"Vic... I really think you should stay home today." I fiercely shake my head. "I already left Valerie alone last night, I can't bail today too. Also, today is my first real concert and that's kinda big to me." Charlie continues walking up and down infront of the couch. "I just don't like the thought of him showing up." I get up from the couch.

Stepping infront of him I place my hands on his shoulders, forcing him to stop pacing. "You'll be there with me the whole time. Nothing is going to happen. Beside, I don't think anyone will show today." There is so much worry in his eyes, it almost pains me. I wish Max and Evelyn would just go back to Germany and leave us be. "I won't leave your side, you know that right?" My lips curl into a small smile. I place a kiss on his lips. "I know that and I love you for it."

"Victoria Darling. Are you alright?" I nod slightly. "Yeah... thanks for taking care of everything last night." Valerie gives me a tight hug. "Of course!" She really is the best coworker I could have ever asked for. I'm more than lucky that I happened to buy her club. Without her everything would be a lot harder. "Security is briefed to not let either of them in." - "Perfect." I wouldn't be surprised if they would find a way in anyhow. I really wish I knew how I could make them leave.

"Alright... let's open the doors then." The club fills up pretty quickly. I sold quite a few tickets for tonights concert online, but there were still some left at the box office, which are now sold out too. Tonight's act was a secret tip Jenny and I found on one of our days walking down to the beach. The guy played at the beach walk and I just had a feeling he's someone people would be interested in. So far everything is quiet. I still doubt Max and Evelyn will show up today. I have a feeling it's part of their plan to make me more and more anxious about when they are going to strike next.

"That guy's really good!" Charlie whispers into my ear. I get goosebumps where his breath touched my skin and a happy smile forms on my lips. I turn around to Charlie and place a kiss on his cheek. "He really is, isn't he. I'm glad we found him." He reaches for my hand and pulls me off my barstool. "Come on, let's dance." Charlie pulls me to the dance floor.

I try to remember some of the moves the girls did when we went out but I can't remember. To my luck the song is over and a slow song comes on. This I can work with. I wrap my arms around Charlie's neck and place my head on his chest. His arms wrap around my waist tightly. There isn't an inch of space between us. Together we swing along to the music.

Right now this moment is ours

Right now that's where we're meant to be

Right now all of my fears leave

Right now it's just you and me

I feel like this song was written for us. These small moments with Charlie, where I'm just happy and the world around us disappears, that's all I'll ever need.
