Chapter 3, Maylin
'He left before I could ask him anything, why did he run off like that? More importantly what just happened?' I thought to myself looking after Charlie as he ran.
"Princess, we have finally found you and it seems like we got here just in time since that savage was here with you. Are you unharmed Princess?" asked one of the three people that had appeared just before Charlie left, perhaps they were the reason that he left in a rush after all they had just called him a savage. I would focus on that later but for now who were these people? Why were they calling me princess? And why did Derek attack me? Was he really a Blood pixie? All of these questions were going through my head making my head pound because I didn't have any answers for these questions. Since these three seemed to think that they knew me I should probably ask them if they knew what was going on.
"Why are you calling me Princess? I am not royalty and why did you call Charlie a savage? He saved my life so you have no right to barge in and call him that. Who are you anyway?" I demanded. I would get the most important questions out, I could find out about Derek later or ask Charlie when I saw him next time. While waiting for them to answer my questions I quickly took their looks in, after all I didn't want to be in a situation like with Derek again. There were two women and a man, the first woman I had a feeling was older then the other two seeing as her pale white skin was wrinkled from old age, her hair was white and had tinted with age but she had still managed to pull it up into a bun, her eyes were amber and she was wearing a pale yellow dress you would see in the 1600's but then again they all had clothes that looked dated. The second one must have been the youngest of the three after all she only had a few wrinkles around her eyes, her hair was red not having any other colour to show her age, her eyes were also amber and she wore a dress much like the first one but this one was red that matched her hair. Finally was the only male of the group who towered over both the women and myself who was taller than the women and his grey hair reached his shoulders but the fringe was slicked back, his amber eyes were darker then the other two in fact they were nearly brown, even so they showed the wisdom that he had and finally the clothes that he wore matched the two woman since it was a tailcoat suit. This struck me as odd after why were three older people out at this time at night? And why were they all so old fashion? I mean I understood that a lot of people were not the best at change and liked to hold onto the past but this seemed different for some reason.
"My name is Alan, she is Elizabeth" said the man, his voice rough and gravely gesturing to the woman in the yellow dress.
"And this is Tracey, if you would we should take this somewhere else, where we are less likely to be overheard since the information we have is sensitive and shouldn't be overheard by anyone" said Alan while gesturing to the woman in the red dress.
"Look I have no idea what is going on, not only did I just get attacked by some one I had thought I knew but then I also find out he is some sort of supernatural creature that I thought was a myth. Then you guys come here scarring off the person who saved me and finally you just think that I am going to follow you because you want me to? Sorry just agree to go with you" I scowled. I know that I should respect my elders and it may come off as rude but they couldn't just come in without explaining anything and then demand I follow them to who knows where plus there was no way to tell if they were like Derek or even Charlie. All I wanted to do was go home and have a long bath to calm myself down and then do the assignments that I had to do while forgetting this ever happened.
"It is too dangerous for us to speak here and explain everything so if you wish for answers you will have to come with us" said Tracey, her eyes narrowing and her lips thinned showing her displeasure of me rejecting their offer.
"I am not trying to be rude but I have had a long day of classes and work so I don't have time for this. Not only do I have assignments to finish but I also have an early class tomorrow so please excuse me" I said as I walked by them glad they didn't try and grab me.
"You must come with us" demanded Elizabeth, making me sigh.
"You are not the guardian of me in fact I don't even know who you are so I don't have to do anything that you want so I am going home" I snapped as I fully turned my back on them and continued walking hoping they would get the idea that I wasn't going anywhere with them.
