𝐊𝐀𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 the group had stopped trying to communicate with one another when Spencer showed up at the vet clinic alone, demanding to know what happened to everyone.  Stiles arrived a few minutes later, frantic with worry, but it soon turned to anger when he saw that the three people who mattered most were alive and didn't tell him they were okay.  If he hadn't called Kat to ask where she was, he wouldn't have known if they were alive or where to go, and the frightened look on his face was enough to make Kat sit everyone down at the kitchen table in the McCall home and play "pack mom" the morning after the rave.

Kat stood in front of the table, and Scott, Spencer, Stiles, and Allison were around the table in front of her, patiently waiting for Kat to say something.  The McCall girl had her hands on her hips and her lips pursed.  The group around the table could practically see the gears turning in her head, but they knew better than to rush her.

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎"Okay," Kat began, nodding as she looked over the four in front of her. "What the hell is going on?  Tonight was a shit show, and I don't even know what happened."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎Allison decided to step in, raising a hand as she spoke, "Yeah, I don't either."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎Scott let a guilty look settle over his face, and he sighed, shaking his head. "We thought we had it figured out, but clearly we didn't."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎"Clearly, no one did." Kat agreed, pointing to herself as she spoke, "I feel like we need to make it a priority to talk to each other about things like this."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎"Agreed," Allison said, backing up Kat as she stared at Scott.  Kat could tell that the Argent girl wasn't only talking about plans concerning the supernatural, and Kat couldn't stop herself from thinking the same thing as she looked at Stiles.  Kat shook her head and refocused.  That could be dealt with at a later time.  A murdering lizard being controlled by an anonymous psycho was their more pressing issue.

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎"You guys are right," Spencer said, rubbing his hands over his jeans as if he were nervous.  Then, he cleared his throat, "I'm not sure where to start."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‏‏‎ ‎"Stiles mentioned something about his dad's pattern, and I know nothing about that.  So let's start there?" Kat said, sitting at the table as she looked at the Stilinski boy.
