𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐍 that Kat or Jackson searched for each other; they stayed as far from each other as they could unless Lydia forced them into the same room together.  That's why anyone that knew the two of them was perplexed as the McCall girl sought out Jackson Friday morning.  She had been up from the late hours of Thursday well into the early hours of Friday morning, doing research and comparing it to that night in the school and any weird instances she had experienced leading up to it.  Kat, a self-proclaimed evolutionist that believed and trusted wholeheartedly in science, had always laughed at the idea of the supernatural and was now realizing that she could be wrong.  However, she knew that Jackson had his suspicions, and she needed to know what he knew.

Kat rushed through the halls of Beacon Hills High School, asking anyone that she and Jackson shared as a mutual friend if they knew where he was.  Finally, she found Jackson's best friend Danny rifling through his locker.

"Danny!" Kat loudly said, marching to the lacrosse player's side.  He jumped at the sudden sound of her voice, "Hey, do you know where Jackson is?"

Danny gave her an odd glance, silently questioning why she was asking about the whereabouts of his best friend.  Finally, he shrugged one shoulder, nonchalantly saying, "He had a doctor's appointment.  I think he's getting a cortisone shot before the game tonight."

Kat quietly cursed, biting her lip and hiking her bag onto her shoulder, "Thanks, Danny.  I'll see you in study hall?"

"Sure," Danny said, smiling at the McCall girl and shutting his locker.  The pair parted ways, Kat now typing on her phone as she left for her next class.  She had just hit send and was about to round the corner into a different hallway when she was stopped by Jackson's voice.

"I know what you are, McCall."

Kat whipped around, searching for the Whittemore boy because she thought he was speaking to her, before slowly stepping around the corner and seeing that he was standing a few feet away from her with his hand resting on her brother's locker, a smug smirk on his face.  Scott was staring at him with a shocked and scared expression.  Her mouth formed an 'o' shape, and she stepped back behind the wall, closely listening to their conversation.

"Wh--what?" Scott stuttered.  Kat's brows furrowed.

"I know what you are," Jackson repeated.
