‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐄𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘 was found Thursday morning in the river that runs through the Beacon Hills Preserve.  The medical examiner ruled his cause of death to be drowning.  Victoria Argent committed suicide Wednesday night.  Allison had finally joined her grandfather's ways of thinking. Vernon Boyd, Erica Reyes, Isaac Lahey, and Annie Reynolds were reported missing and labeled as runaways by Friday morning.  Noah Stilinski was reinstated as Sheriff of Beacon County.  Melissa McCall couldn't look at her children after discovering their supernatural abilities.  Kat hadn't spoken to anyone involved from that night other than her brother.

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎For Kat, Monday mornings were usually spent in the gym, perfecting the cheer routine for State Cheer.  She usually pretended to care about Lexi's drama with the other cheerleaders or the closeted girl she was talking to.  She'd then meet Stiles at her locker, waiting for him to give her the coffee he'd always bring her, and they'd chat until the warning bell rang and they'd have to depart to head to their homeroom classes.  However, the Monday morning after the traumatic storm that was Kat's birthday was spent in the guidance counselor's office.

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Kat sat across from Ms. Morell in her office, her face devoid of any emotion as she told Ms. Morell about what happened to her. "Matt Daehler held a gun to my head.  He threatened my friends and my brother.  He locked my mother in a holding cell. Someone fired on the station with machine guns, then it was all over.  Matt's dead.  The end."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ms. Morell watched Kat, picking up the subtle shrugging of her shoulders and the tired tone of her voice.  Ms. Morell hummed, nodding as she thought over Kat's words. "You sound relieved that Matt is dead."

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎"Would that make me a bad person if I was?" Kat asked, crossing her legs and looking at Ms. Morell as if they were having a completely normal conversation about something as mundane as the weather.  Kat cleared her throat, "I mean, the fact that I don't care that he's dead doesn't make me a bad person, does it?"

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ms. Morell's voice was smooth as she answered Kat's question with another question. "Do you feel like a bad person for not caring?"

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎"No.  I don't." Kat honestly answered, shaking her head as she spoke. "He terrorized my brother, my mom, my best friends.  He almost killed me.  I don't feel like a bad person for having no feelings about Matt's death."
