𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 to plans, Scott wasn't usually the best at creating them. That was better left to Stiles and Spencer. Scott's plan to protect Kat, Allison, and the rest of the people Peter had specifically threatened was no match for one of Stiles' masterful ploys, but it was the best they could think of. Kat still wasn't clear on the whole thing, and her role was minuscule -- stay out of trouble and keep an eye on Allison and Lydia. That wouldn't be too hard.
Kat, Lexi, Lydia, and Allison already had plans to find their dresses for the Winter Formal at Macy's (the store always had incredible sales on dresses when it was nearing a school dance), so it was the perfect way to play her part in Scott's plan. The girls stepped onto the escalator, making small talk as they walked to the ladies' section on the second floor.
Kat hummed, examining Allison's demeanor. She had been quiet and distant all day, and with a quick shared look with Lydia, Kat started speaking. "All right, Allison. You've been all kinds of weird all day, so, spill. What's wrong?"
Allison sighed, looking at the girls around her. She knew that she wasn't going to get out of it. Lydia loved dress shopping, but she also loved to pry. And dress shopping was a sure-fire way to do so.
The Argent girl bit her lips, "Nothing's wrong, I just . . . " She trailed off, trying to find a way to appease their curious minds without revealing what was truly bothering her, "Have a lot on my mind."
"You could smile, at least." Lexi teased, nudging Allison's shoulder as Lydia agreed with the West girl.
"Ever heard of the saying, "Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile."?" Lydia grinned, "Smile, Allison. I'm buying you a dress."
Allison nodded, reluctantly forcing a smile onto her face, "I have to admit, as far as apologies go, that's more than I expected. But not as much as I'm going to ask."
As Lydia questioned the Argent girl, Kat and Lexi shared a suspicious look, "What? What's that supposed to mean?"
Allison smirked, "It means you're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided-up jock you said yes to, and you're going to go with somebody else."
"Who?" Lydia scoffed, rolling her eyes as she looked at her friend.
"Him," Allison said, turning her head in the direction of a distant counter.
The escalator had brought the group to the second floor, and the girls stepped off as Allison pointed to Stiles and Spencer, who were standing by the perfume counter. Stiles picked up a perfume bottle and went to smell it, but he spazzed and accidentally sprayed himself in the face with the perfume. He started to sneeze, and Spencer groaned as he reached out to grab the perfume from him and put it back on the counter. Spencer rolled his eyes at his friend's antics, but he quickly recovered and held a hand up in greeting when he caught sight of the girls.
