Jungkook POV:

A heavy crash sparked from my hammer meeting the window.  Shards of glass spouting back towards me cause me to shut my eyes and flinch.  But adrenaline was kicking in, I couldn't feel the glass regardless.  Next, my elbow swiftly took out the last few remaining shards that were blocking our path.  There wasn't a big amount of space, but just enough to fit through one at a time. Careful of the glass, we began climbing our way into the crater of the window.  The crater was about 7 feet high until solid ground.  The crunching of our shoes on the now glass covered rocks resounded to my ears.  The sharp end Autumn cold brushed against my cheeks taking the first step.

My teeth grit looking up at the metal bar cover blocking our ascending exit.  Even though I had to squint from the sun, I knew the lid wasn't screwed on.  it serves as more of a safety percaution so it should be easy enough to move with some effort, but dealing with it was just going to waste time we didn't have.

Having to jump, the barrier barely budged.  "crap." I muttered missing the second jump.  Y/N was trying to move it out of the way too but with her being shorter it wasn't as easy of a reach.  Third jump, the bars pushed a little more than half way off.  Just enough for a person to fit.

"You go first, you're faster." Y/N spoke eyeing the climb.

An all too familiar raspy voice echoed from the house.  "What was that?" Next followed the sound of a fumbling door handle.  Maybe we should have blocked the stairs before breaking the window.  Too late now.  A now furious James towered huffing as king of the stairs.

With my mind racing, the exhaustion I had before had left, and I was able to climb out of the hole pretty effortlessly.  My hands quickly moved the lid over as Y/N followed next.  She had to jump, but she was still strong enough to pull her self up.

Now out of my vision, but I could hear James foot steps speeding closer and closer.  I reached to pull Y/N up faster.  She was almost out.  Her waist was now leaning over the normal ground dirt filling up her hands.

Suddenly, my pulling met with a sharp resistance.  "You think, I'll really let you get away that easily? What about our deal?" The angry man scolded reaching towards her.  His grip made its way to her ankle.  She yelped at the sudden touch and seemed to lose the support she had from her arms.  With his overwhelming force, he yanked down, hurdling her back towards the glass covered rocks.

"Y/N!" I shouted.  I reached back down towards her, but she was already sprawled on the ground.

"Where did we go wrong sweetheart? I thought we were getting along so well?" He had a sinister smile through his teeth.  "Shall we time travel now then? Or are you saying this is how you want your meaningless life to end? I'm quite fine with either. At this point, I can't let you walk out of here regardless."

Y/N didn't respond.  Her head stared at the rocks beneath her.  I wanted to jump back down.  I wanted to punch this guy in the face. But with her laying on the ground like that theres no room for me to go back down.  I would have to jump on her.

I watched helplessly from above as Y/N slowly made her way to her hands and knees.  Cuts and glass shards enveloped her hands.  She muttered still staring at the ground.  "No."

"No?" James questioned.  "Are you saying no to time traveling or living?"  James turned his nose upward and caught my gaze.

"Don't you lay a finger on her!" I yelled back down.  My fists were turning white frombeing clenched.

James dark eyes dug into mine like daggers.  "Make one move and she's dead pretty boy."  I swallowed. I can't lose her when she's so close.
