Another Realm

"What is this place? Where am I?" ??? Said as he looked around seeing nothing but darkness. 

"About time you woke up. It's been a while since you've last been awake. Now come on. You've got a world to save." A girl's voice echoed.

Purple cubes started falling behind the guy. He looked behind himself with fear. "RUN!!!!" The girl shouted in his head.

The guy ran as fast as he could but he couldn't escape it. He saw the ground disappear and instead a bright light.

"Am I dead? How was I supposed to save the world when I couldn't escape that...?" "HEY!!!!" A female echidna came out of thin air angry.

"What do you think you're doing!? I know being asleep for more than a few weeks can do stuff to you. But that's no excuse to be unable to avoid something like a falling ground!" The girl scolded at him.

"I'm sorry do I know you?" The guy asked which made her a little more angry. "Oh come on!" She shouted even louder. Which made him startled and fell over.

Wait. Something is different about him. Something changed does he...

"Wait. Dont you remember anything?" She asked him. He shook his head no. "Not even my name." He answered.

"I see. I'm sorry for shouting at you. I thought you'd try to be a bit more serious for saving the world." She said as she smiled. "I'll explain."

The girl explained what's been happening over the few months. And the whole war that's been going on and how it started. She also explained how they weren't dead. But were currently in his brain.

"Wow. All that's happened? So much has happened. So who am I and what can I do to end it?" He asked wanting to stop it. "Glad you're confident." She replied.

"Your name is Roger. And today I shall Give you a new power. And you shall put it to good use." She said then a bright light covered his eyes revealing him running.

"I grant you the speed of sound. Now run!" She shouted in his head. He started running way faster than before and managed to escape the falling ground.

"Um partner. I'm hitting a dead end." He said noticing the lack of cubes in front of him. "Hang on!" She said then a platforms made out of cubes appeared.

"Whoa. Seriously who are you?" He said as he jumped on the platforms while using his speed. "Oh almost forgot. I'm Tikal. Nice to meet you." She said with a nice tone.

"Well Tikal. Nice to meet you too. So where's our first stop? Cause I'm kinda running out of room again." He said looking behind him at the disappearing blocks and in front of him seeing the limit of room he had.

"You see that barrier? We're heading there." Roger looked for the barrier and saw a giant tower. "Wait are we climbing that? How? I can't use my hands to climb it. Oh are you gonna help by building my way up?" He asked.

"Can't. The barrier is keeping is keeping me from helping you." She answered. "Then how am I gonna get up there?" He asked again.

"In the war there's a guy named Sonic The Hedgehog. He used his speed in many ways. One way he ran in place then went even faster than ever. (Sonic CD and Sonic Mania) So basically you're gonna have to run so fast that you can start on the wall and run even faster. It's now or never." She answered making him nervous.

Who knew being a hero would so tiring. Well it's my laziness or possibly the entire world. Roger thought.

Roger jumped off the cube and started running as fast as he could on the wall. And somehow he managed to completely do it.
