Amy and Maria traveled around the battlefield and found Sonic past out on the ground. "Sonic! You ok!?" Amy yelled running up to him. And Maria followed also worried while ignoring her pain. "I- I'm fine Ames. Just defeated Mimic. Nothing that bad." Sonic answered tiredlessly still on the ground. "I'll be up in a second."
Emmy walked up to all of them and used a bit of her power to erase some of the clones away from them. "Sonic. I just got in contact with Tikal. Shadow just defeated Infinite. But Chaos told her something is gonna come soon. It'd be best if you get ready." "Ok." Sonic replied trying to rest up the best he could.
"Sonic who's this GIRL!?" Amy shouted. "I've been with you the last few days." Emmy responded. "This is Emmy the Master Emerald. You know. She said that when she arrived." Sonic answered.
"Oh right. Nice to actually meet you." Amy said. "And Sonic." Emmy ignored the kinda rudeness. "That girl. *points at Maria* She's..." "What!? Oh no! UGH!!! Great now I feel really bad! I'll talk to her as soon as I can." Sonic answered feeling bad on what he has to do.
Meanwhile
Tails was running around the battlefield. He remembered that Eggman said the backup power source was under Metropolis. So he had 2 choices. He can find a way in. Or blast his way in. Hmmmm.
"Ya whatever." Tails gave up and full charged his arm cannon and shot the ground. Which happened to lead to a secret room which'll lead to the power source. Tails started running down the room and the defense system started up and started shooting lasers.
"This is it." Tails said then got his communicator out. "Guys! I found it! Look for a hole in the ground! Near the Imperial Tower!" Tails contacted. "Got it! Back up is coming soon!" Knuckles said through comms.
Gravity changed and Tails landed on some rails and started rail grinding. Lasers broke the rails apart making it unable to grind on. So Tails started flying around dodging the lasers. Then gravity changed again and he landed on a different path.
Suddenly giant wheels with spikes started rolling down. Tails quick stepped to the side to dodge it. He kept it up until he almost got crushed. Fortunately back up came. Silver stopped the wheels and Knuckles came running alongside and punched them to the side. "Backups here!" Knuckles said. "Thanks!"
Tails and Knuckles ran forward and after they got past the wheels Silver let go and followed. They all arrived in a room with 3 capsules. The defense system fired up again and started shooting giant lasers at everyone. They each took one down.
Tails used his arm cannon and started firing at the capsule. It started breaking apart. Then he tail swiped it ballerina style. Then finished it with a classic spindash.
Knuckles did a donkey kong punch then ora ora ora things up. Then finished it with a #falconpunch (does any of this make sense?)
Silver threw his psycho knives. Then used his psychokenisis to crush the capsule apart and rip it to shreds. Like an awesome person. ITS NO USE!!!! You can't deny it.
They all dodged the lasers and started running out. "Let's head out!" Knuckles said and everyone nodded in agreement. They quickly started running/flying as the place started to explode. They started screaming as they went as fast as they could. Because behind them was 100s of thousands gallons of gasoline.
And there was a large explosion heading their way. Silver carried Tails and Knuckles and carried them and himself as fast as he could and luckily got out in time.
When they arrived outside they saw that all the clones had disappeared. And the only thing up were the soldiers and the easy to destroy robots. "We did it! We won the war!" Knuckles shouted and everyone started cheering.
Suddenly an earthquake appeared. And Eggman in his Death egg robot came out of the ground since he doesn't have enough of those. "You may have defeated Infinite and Mimic. And destroyed the power. But the power you destroyed was a decoy! Now witness the TRUE power of the phantom ruby!" Eggman said then Knuckles got a message.
"Knuckles! The enemies are returning! And there's more than before!" Vector shouted through comms. "Confirmed sightings of Metal, Infinite, Zavok, Chaos, Shadow. Thousands of them! And they're taking our forces down one by one!" Rouge shouted.
"You're gonna pay for this!" Silver shouted then picked a bunch of robot pieces up and threw them at Eggman's robot. But purple wall appeared and blocked it. Then a shockwave blasted everyone in the area away. Making Silver Knuckles and Tails get blown away but a force pulled them back and they landed near Sonic Amy Emmy and Maria.
"What happened?" Tails asked. "I pulled you guys back to the battlefield." Emmy answered. "How'd you do that?" Knuckles asked. "I used the power of the Master Emerald. Does no one listen?" Emmy asked and everyone shrugged.
"What's wrong with Sonic and Maria!?" Tails said looking at their headaches. "Well you see-" Suddenly eggman's death egg robot started getting ready for the final battle. "Nope no time. We have to deal with him quick! Before he destroys us!" Emmy shouted.
"But what do we do?" Sonic grunted trying to stand with his hand on his head. "You need to get ready." Emmy commanded. "I'll get you ready for battle. Can you guys distract him?" Emmy asked. "We can. But what are you gonna do?" Knuckles asked her. "I'm getting Sonic ready for combat. And he needs to talk to Maria about something." "Ok. Let's go." Silver said.
Silver and Tails flew off and Knuckles and Amy ran off. "Guys! You see the giant robot!? We have to distract it as much as we can!" Knuckles said through comms. "Copy that!" Everyone responded then started to head there.
