Chapter 26

Severus walked into the living room and he picked up William. Grace was still half asleep and Severus walked around the room, talking to his grandson.
"Grace?" Severus said, slightly nudging her shoulder, "Gracie, go back to bed."
Grace stood up and started to walk back to bed.
Severus sat down on his chair and he waved his wand to create the fire. The colours glistened in Severus' eyes. William was still asleep but every now and then he would move some part of his body.
Narcissa would be up soon and Severus still stared at the fire, moving elegantly. Se came down the stairs with Lucius behind her and Severus stood up. Narcissa stood next to Severus and he gave her William.
"Grace came down but she fell asleep so I sent her back to bed." He said, Narcissa kept William wrapped up in the blanket while Severus checked for the post.
A black owl came from the sky with a letter in his hand and on the front said 'Grace and William'. Severus took it in side and put it on the coffee table and walked to his study.
Grace woke up again and she came down stairs. Lucius was holding William and he was looking into his eyes. William had Grace's eyes and Draco's hair.
"Lucius, can I have William please?" Grace asked,
"Of course my dear. He's lovely and he has your eyes." Lucius replied, he passed William to Grace and she sat down.
Narcissa walked into the kitchen and made some breakfast for Lucius and Severus. Grace watched William and noticed a letter in the corner of her eye.
She picked it up and opened it.
'Dear Grace and William,
I wish I could come and I'm dying to see you both. Hopefully your okay. My mother must be helping you all of the time. Father must always end up watching him.
I promise that when I come back I will be safe and we can have a family night. Plus I have a surprise for you and I hope that you like it. I also have a present for William. Professor Dumbledore gave it to me to give to him.
I love you both and tell my parents that I love them. Tell them to keep an eye on you. Ha ha. I'm only joking.
I'll be back soon and safely.

Grace felt her tears reach the back of her eyes and they became heavier and heavier. Thicker and thicker, layer by layer. She wiped her eyes and gave William a hug but not to tight. Severus came out of his study and sat next to Grace.
"May I read the letter?" He asked,
"Of course. I'm going to go and feed William. He's hungry and I'll be back down soon." Grace replied, Severus picked up the letter and read it aloud to Lucius.
Grace went upstairs and placed William on the bed. She unbuttoned her shirt again and she unbuttoned her bra. She let him feed and then she put him in the crib for his nap.
She took her pyjamas off and got changed into a pair of jeans with a white vest top.
She opened the curtains and kept the blinds closed, only to let a small amount of light shine through into the room. She opened her bedroom door and walked out. She turned only to see her in made bed and closed the big wooden door.
