The day of the big birthday, Grace got up and got dressed. She left the house before Draco was fully dressed. William was playing in the bedroom in the playpen.
Grace called a taxi to go to the doctors, instead of walking. The cold air made her feel frozen. The taxi pulled up to the doctors and Grace stood out, paying the driver £5.
She walked through the entrance and she walked up to the desk.
"May I help you?" The receptionist asked,
"I have an appointment with the doctor." Grace replied,
"Name?"
"Grace Evangeline Snape." She replied,
"Yes take a seat and we will call for you."
Grace walked over to the waiting room and she sat down, pulling her phone from her pocket. She checked it and there was nothing.
"Grace Snape."
Grace placed her phone back in her bag and she stood up. She smiled at the doctor and she followed him. In the room there was a white bed with a white pillow. Pictures of babies all around the room as well as thank you cards.
A wooden desk with a black swivel chair. On the desk was a computer with a keyboard and a mouse. A photograph of the doctor and his family stood next to it.
The doctor walked in and held the door open, letting Grace walk through. He closed it after her and she sat down on the bed.
"If you would just pull up you too and lie down on the bed. Please." He said, Grace did so and she stared at the ceiling. The doctor pulled a machine in from the cupboard and he turned it on.
"I'm just going to rub this on your stomach and place this scanner on your stomach." He said, pulling a tub of green jelly out of his pocket.
He rubbed it on her stomach and placed the scanner on her stomach as well.
"Would you like to find out what the baby is?" He asked, Grace nodded, "Well the baby is... a girl. Congratulations."
"Thank you doctor. May I please have a photo so that I may take it home?" She asked,
"Yes. I'll print it off now and here is a towel to dry your stomach." He said, pulling a towel from the drawer of the desk.
Grace placed it on her stomach and rubbed the jelly off. The doctor walked out of the room to the reception. The printer was there not at the computer desk. He walked back in, not long after he left only he had an envelope in his hand.
He placed the envelope on the desk and waited for Grace to finish wiping her stomach. She sat up and moved her top back down to the normal length. She stood up and collected the envelope.
"Thank you again doctor." She said and she walked out of the room.
She left the doctors and walked home. Severus was still in the living room and Draco was changing Williams diaper. She walked through the door and Severus was walking down the stairs.
"Hello father." She said, smiling.
"Hello Grace. How did it go?" He asked,
"Fine. I'll tell everyone at the manor." Grace replied, she closed the door.
Draco came downstairs holding William in his arms. His left arm was under Williams bottom while his right arm was holding his body. William was facing Draco and he slowly placed his head on his shoulder.
"Grace, your back. I hope it went well." He said, "Look William it's mummy."
William lifted his head and looked at Grace, smiling.
"Hello little man. Yes Draco it did go well." She said, Draco passed William to his mum. Grace held him the same way and William kept his smile.
"Let's go to the manor. We need to hurry." Severus said, making his way to the fireplace, with a small pot in his hand. The pot was filled with floo powder.
Everyone nodded and headed to the fireplace. Grace held William and the envelope, stepping into the fireplace.
"Malfoy Manor." She cried and she disappeared. Draco follows with Severus and the entered the living room of the manor.
