Skylar hopped up on a brown and white mare with armor covering most of her body. She brayed as Skylar pulled the reins. The mare trotted off with the rest of the warriors through the Bifrost. She gave one last glance over her shoulder and Saw Fallon searching for something. She gulped; she had a feeling they were searching for her. She regained her mind and went through the Bifrost with everyone else. Skylar had adrenaline pumping through her that her head started to pound. Her heart was racing and the palms of her hands were sweaty. The light from the small little town they were in showed and Skylar and the rest of the warriors were inside the small little realm. She looked around the burnt down village with a crackle of fires still upon some houses. She saw no sign of life, had they been too late? She gazed up at Thor who had his hammer in his hand as he held it up, signaling the warriors to spread out and search. She pulled her reins and followed a couple of warriors to the far, north-west part of the city. Loki followed her with his eight legged horse, trotting along the silent path. It was an eerie feel, like the one in Jotunhiem. Skylar scanned for any sign of life. The warrior still kept moving along, neither of them making a single sound. In the corner of her eye, Skylar saw a small little movement. She stopped her horse and looked in a building that was half-way burnt. She pulled the reins, commanding the horse to move forward to the house. As Sky got closer, she heard a small whimper of a child. She stopped the horse and got off. Loki saw this and stopped his stallion and trotted off to Skylar. The rest of their party kept on moving. Skylar walked inside the burnt house and wandered through what was left of it. She looked and looked but saw nothing.
Maybe it was a figment of my imagination, She thought.
As she began to turn around to leave a small, cracked voice coughed, catching Sky's attention. She turned around and saw, in the darkest corner, two little girls, staring at her in fear.
"Please don't hurt us" the eldest of the two spoke.
Skylar walked to them and smiled. She bent down and looked at the two girls. The one that had spoken had long, pure almost white blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was covered in bruises, ash and soot from the fire and looked around four. The youngest was still a baby. The older sister was holding her little sister in her arms tightly. From what Skylar could see, the baby had black hair and was wrapped in a dirty old cream towel. Skylar looked at the oldest and smiled.
"It's okay, darling" said Skylar in a comforting voice "I'm not going to hurt you"
The girl's face lighted a bit but was still frightened. Skylar grabbed the little girls hand and lightly showed her way to her horse.
"W-Who are you?" asked the little girl. Very talkative for her age.
"I'm Skylar or Sigyn" replied Skylar "I'm here with warrior from Asgard and the Season's realm to help you dear"
"I-I though girls couldn't be warriors" said the little girl.
"I snuck in" said Skylar "Only one person known’s who i really am, everyone else thinks I’m another warrior"
The little girl struggled to carry her baby sister through all the ruble. Skylar saw this and stopped walking.
"Do you want me to hold her for you?" asked Skylar.
The little girl nodded and gave the baby to Skylar. Skylar held the babe tightly as they began walking again.
"What's your name?" asked Skylar as they reached the exit of the house.
"Marina" she replied "And that's my sister Hella"
"Those are beautiful names" said Skylar.
"Yours is pretty too, Sigyn" she said.
