I woke up the next morning, restless.
I woke up later than usual, by the time I did it was about 12:40 in the afternoon. I always wake up at around 7 or 8 which is abnormally early. Even for someone like me.
I got out of bed and decided to change into some actual clothes.
My eyes were droopy and I wanted to fall asleep again. My head started to drift from time to time.
The afternoon sun shined through my window, illuminating my whole room throughout. My floor was warm against my bare feet.
'So this is my life now' I thought to myself as I looked around my room. Everything changes so fast before you even realize it. Just about a week ago everything was so normal. But now, everything new around me has to become the new normal.
Speaking of everything around me, It's probably time to start investigating more properly this time. I can't just let my suspicion grow without even doing something about it first.
I walked out into the living room. My mom was sitting on the couch typing something on her laptop.
"You're finally awake. " She said while looking over at me.
"Yeah sorry I slept in a little later than usual. I didn't come back till a later last night."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. So, question. What's the neighbor's son like? You two seemed to get along quite well to me."
I got a little caught off guard with her question for a bit. I wasn't sure why.
"Well, he's really cool actually. We both kinda share the same interests which is pretty nice. I thought we weren't really gonna be friends at first."
To be honest I didn't know what to think of seven when I first met him. I kinda just thought he was gonna be like everyone else around here. The sad thing is he probably doesn't even realize how different he really is. He probably thinks he is nothing but normal.
"Well, it's nice to see you've made friends with him. Considering no one really lived near us back at our other house. It's a nice change of pace."
She said and went back to continue her work.
"Yeah," I said back while slipping on my shoes. I didn't want to waste any more time than I already have so I decided to start heading over to six's place.
"Where are you going?" My mom asked.
"Remember that girl that came over to dinner yesterday. Seven's friend? Yeah, I'm going over to her house she lives like one house across from us."
"Oh, I forgot about her. Why are you going over there?" She asked.
"She Invited me." I lied. I didn't want to tell her my real reason. She'd think it's ridiculous to think I'd make something like that up.
"I'll be back later," I said while heading out the door. I looked over to my right to see seven's house. His window was open. I couldn't really see anything on the inside except the top of the door frame. The door was closed also.
Mono stop looking someone might see you.
I walked over across the street to Six's house. It looked similar to all the other ones at the street. It was about as average as any of them. But it looked just a little more grunge. Like the house was a lot more older than all of the rest. Unkept but maintained.
I wonder what her house looks like on the inside.
Seven has a really strong bond with Six. I wonder what type of history they have.
