9. Seven

I watched him impatiently. "Go down already. Or I'll push you down." Six whispered in my ear. She caught me off guard. "Will you shut it. I'll go down right now." I turned around to whisper back. She scrunched up her nose at me, then finally, I slowly but surely started to walk down, while looking at Mono who wasn't even paying attention. Please look away till I get down there. As I was a few steps away from him. I lost my footing as I felt a shove behind my back. No no, no good lord help me, please. I yelped as I fell forward landing face-first into Mono causing both of us to fall. I fell on top of him causing me to pin him and our legs becoming intertwined. His parents and my mom looked at us. I looked down at him blushing insanely to see him smiling at me. "Someone's a bit clumsy." He said with a small chuckle. I quickly jolted up at light speed as I simultaneously heard laughing from six and light giggling from his parents. My face was about to explode from embarrassment. "IM SO SO SORRY!! A-are you ok?!" I asked helping him off the ground. "Yeah don't worry I'm completely fine." He said with a smile. I looked at him like I was being hypnotized. I just met this guy why am I feeling this way. Is it because I don't have any guy friends? "You have a nice house. Hopefully, my house will look like this eventually." He said looking around. "Oh, yeah thanks. Well, you just moved in so you're house might not be too bad." I said back. What the hell. What kind of response is that. "Yeah, maybe." He said while he started walking around. Six was standing next to me looking like a weirdo. I elbowed her stomach as payback for pushing me down the stairs. "What was that for." We both whispered at the same time. "You know damn well why I did that. You pushing me causes me to fly right on top of him, asshole." I whispered to her. "Maybe if you weren't such a baby and walked a bit faster I wouldn't have done that. You need to learn how to loosen up around guys." She whispered back. She was right, maybe it was just because I don't have any friends that are boys, but that shouldn't matter I am a boy so therefore I shouldn't feel uncomfortable around my own species. I do feel more comfortable around girls though. I saw Mono sit at the table we had. I guess that meant we're all eating. Six grabbed my hand leading me towards the two empty seats next to Mono. I pinched her ear causing her to let go of my hand. I made a face that basically read 'Can you chill out'. She scrunched her nose at me. We both calmly walked over to sit down. I sat next to Mono while six sat next to me. "Hey, you what's your name!" Six yelled across the table to Mono. I was about to lose my shit. I blushed while looking at Six. Can she be any louder?! Mono scoffed at her statement. "My name's Mono. How about you? I don't think I've ever seen you around before. You a friend of Seven?" He asked. I looked at both of them having a conversation listening in since they were basically next to me. "I'm Six! Yeah, actually were best friends. I live in a house across from this one." She said jumping around. Was this her way of trying to make a good impression? I mean it worked on me but good god. It would be awful if she was going to a job interview or something. She even took a speech class for 4 years. I can't believe she used to have selective mutism. Six never talked at all back when she was small. She only talked to me, and even only sometimes. I used to be the one who was energized and always happy to see her. She was probably driven by me and how I acted back then, now she's more energized than I am. Even I once played the role of someone to look up to, especially for her. Now it's like the other way around. I tuned out what they were talking about, and smiled my thoughts. I was snapped out of it as I heard a faint voice. "Uh, Hello?!! Earth to seven?! You listening??" I heard six say while she and Mono stared at me. "Huh. What?" I asked in a  bewildered manner. "I asked if you're ok with me most of the steak because your mom is making some." She said. I looked at her with confusion. " Uh, sure." She had a facial expression of success. Even though it was just over some steak. Six sure had an appetite. She eats anything and everything. Unlike me, I barely eat, and I'm picky when it comes to my food. I'm basically just skin and bones. I watched Mono and six talk about stuff I didn't care about. They seem like they're getting to know each other pretty well. I wonder what his parents are like.
