Saturday morning came and Madison was getting ready for her day. She was still staying in the hotel, so there wasn't a laundry service, and her apartment wasn't ready yet, so she spent the days she wasn't working, lounging or reading, or with TK at the fire house.

She walked to the coffee shop next to her hotel and got herself some breakfast before she went back to her room to call TK to see if she could either pop by Owen's house or the fire house for a few hours.

"Teeeeek! What're you doing?" She asked as she laid down on her hotel bed, phone in hand dialed to TK.

"Hey boo! Working out. Wanna come over? I'm at dads." He smiled into the phone.

"Ugh, yes please! I'll be over in like 30? Does that work?" As soon as TK asked if she wanted to come over, she jumped up and started get ready.

"Sure! Why do you sound muffled?" Tyler chuckled.

"Oh! Speaker phone, sorry!" Maddy laughed back. "Almost done getting ready already!"

"Of course you are," he chuckled. "See ya soon. Be safe!"

"Yep, see ya!"

"So you nervous for your date tonight Mads?" Tyler asked as she sat down on his couch.

"Uhm, I wasn't! But now I am!" She said as she playfully slapped his arm. "I don't know why.. I hardly ever get nervous."

"I know dude. Maybe it's just cause you haven't dated in a few years.." Tyler said with a shrug.

"What if it's because I actually suck and know I'm gonna mess it up?!" Maddy stood back up. She started to panic now, and began pacing around the Strand's cozy living room.

Tyler, who was in the kitchen drinking a pink post-workout shake replied to her panic, "Mads. Not true at all! You're one of the most open-minded, accepting, chill people I've ever met...so it's definitely not that at all! When's the last time you went out with a guy or girl on a date, an actual date??"

"Uhm.. since before grad school.." she rubbed her arms as she felt herself starting to chuckle at her own thoughts.

"Oh my god! You're ridiculous! See! It's just first date jitters!"

"Yeah, you're right!" She broke out into a full chuckle. "Ohh! Can I borrow some of your clothes?!"

"Uhm.. sure. But why?" Tyler laughed.

"I'll show ya!"

"Cmon.." Tyler sarcastically waved her on to follow him upstairs to his room.

His room was so very 'Tyler'; masculine with a touch of his undercover femininity that Maddy loved so much about him. His bed frame was wooden, but his sheets were a dark lavender, and his walls were white.

"Oh! These are cute as fuck! They'll work great Ty!" Maddy smiled after a few minutes of rummaging through his closet. "I'm going for a slight like.. I don't know, shock value with this one?! He seems to like to be.. swooned, as it were."

"We've actually never talked about it," TK laughed.

"Well, we bout to find out!" Maddy laughed.

"Thanks boo. I'll send you a pic of my finished product!"

"Please do! I'll give you a ride back to the hotel!" Tyler replied.

Maddy dove into her suitcases as soon as she got back to the hotel; she really wanted to make a great impression on Paul, and hoped this outfit would do it.

Tyler's jeans, her shirt and boots, topped off with a cute long cardigan

'CUTE??' She sent in the text to Tyler.
'What a babe!! *heart eyes*' he replied.
'Thank god. Love you! He's picking me up at 6..'
'Good luckkk!!'
'Ah! Thanks! *kiss face*!'

"Hey! What's your room number again?"

"Oh, right! 304! Sorry!" The text exchange came in around 5:55, he was going to be right on time.

Maddy's heart started to pound harder and louder as she desperately tried to keep her sweating to a minimum as she realized just how nervous she was for this date. Why?!

*knock, knock, knock*

Maddy's heart raced as she walked carefully to her room door. She looked through the peephole, and didn't feel pure terror anymore. She felt happiness. She looked out to see Paul, holding a small bouquet of flowers while he adjusted his shirt. Maddy smiled to herself and opened the door.

"Hi Paul," she smiled.

"Hi Madison! You look great!" He said with his stunning smile.

"Aw, thank you! You look great yourself!"

"Oh, these are for you!" He kept his smile as he handed her the beautiful bouquet of pink roses and Baby's Breath.

"They're beautiful! Thank you! I'll stick them in the ice bucket for now.. and then find something else later, sound good?" Madison chuckled.

"Perfect," Paul laughed back.

She gently took the bouquet, and grabbed the ice bucket and walked to her bathroom to fill it up. She stuck the flowers in it, and smiled. "Wa la! Perfect!"

"Yes it is," Paul smiled. "Shall we go?"

"We shall! Where are we going anyway??"

"You'll see!" He smiled as he offered Maddy his arm. She locked her door and met him with her arm interlocking his. The two of them walked out of the hotel toward what would surely be an exciting night.
