"Jesus Mads.. first Buck, AND NOW Eddie?!" TK said to Maddy as they sat at the breakfast table a few days after the 118 crew left for LA.
"Okay, Tyler Kennedy! First, mind your business! Second, Eddie is hot too! I know you know that! And Marjan.. she gave me the go ahead, since she doesn't really care! Just don't tell Paul and Mateo.." Maddy cleared her throat.
"Maddy.. I won't, and don't think I hate you, but..." he shook his head.
"I know TK... well, if it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure Buck's bi. Just in denial.." she shrugged. "And Eddie.. is... hot."
"Huh. I still just can't believe... both of their smug LA hands on you.. within days of one another..." he pouted.
"Awh.. Tyler Kennedy." Maddy smiled as she pinched his cheeks, getting a smile out of him. "Don't be jealous. You're my number one.. but you are a homosexual, so like... I can only do so much with you!" She laughed.
TK was able to laugh at her comment as well, "I am a homosexual, so you're right.."
"So there!" Maddy said as she stuck her tongue out.

"Is it bad that I kinda don't want you to leave..?""I wish I could stay... but my kid, Chris.."
"No.. I know! I would never ask you to uproot him, especially since this is only the second time we've met.. the first, you were fighting a massive fire.. and yeah, we're currently naked." Maddy chuckled as Eddie leaned over and kissed her temple.
"But it doesn't mean I.. uh, wouldn't be interested."
"Oh shut up," she laughed. "But you will keep in touch with me, right?"
"Of course!" Eddie pulled Maddy close to him and kissed her again.

"Ready for work tomorrow?" Maddy asked with a cheeky smile."Yeah.. I am. Are you?" TK replied.
Maddy got up and went over and pet Tex, "not really. I kinda hate Mondays.. just as a general rule, even more so now, since Tim died on a Monday. Buuuut I am thankful that I love my job." Maddy smiled.
"Yes.. that is always a plus!" TK smiled back. "Wanna come over to the station after work— we're on shift this week?"
"Uhm.. yes! Can I sleep over??" Maddy asked.
"I wouldn't have asked you to come over if I didn't assume you would.." He winked as he got up and headed to the bathroom.

"See you after work, Mads!" TK called as he drove his car away from her apartment."Bye boo!" Maddy called back. Just before she turned to go back inside, she looked across the street and stopped in her tracks, as she swore she was looking at someone she planned to never see again, Mike. She blinked his face away, but a figure remained.
She ran to the end of her parking lot and looked toward the direction of a man— just a random man, not Mike at all. She waved him off, "sorry.. thought you were an ex of mine."
"No problem," the man said, an octave higher than Mike's voice— further confirmation that it was in fact not Mike. With a large sigh, Maddy went back inside.

"Alright guys! Let's make today a good ER day! No stress; we save who we can!" Maddy announced to her staff from the nurses station. She didn't lie to TK, she did love her job, so much. It kept her busy, and happy... which is all she and her mom could ask for."Alright guys! We got a severe asthma attack, and.. a COVID case coming in.. gear up!" Maddy commanded minutes after her shift started. She grabbed her face shield, and threw it over her already masked face, and headed into emergency room, room 3– to help with the possible COVID patient.
She exited the room several minutes after she entered, and threw her gear down and dropped into her chair— the guy was in bad shape already, but luckily for Maddy, it was Liz's turn to FaceTime the families.

'Hey.. just checking in. I was kinda thinking about you.. ;) don't tell your friend TK, I know he'll kick my ass, lol.' A text from Eddie read.Maddy smiled for a brief moment but forced it away, "he's in LA for gods sake!" She said to herself before texting him back. 'All is well! Hope LA is good too! I'll talk to you later, still on shift.'
Maddy felt a twinge of guilt, but why? Mateo? Paul? Hmm... no, Tyler Kennedy. It was habitually, Tyler Kennedy. She's always been attracted to the bastard, so he's on her mind a lot— it was different with Tim, TK liked him.
They got along, and Tim wasn't an arrogant son of a bitch. The 118 guys aren't exactly on the top of TK's Christmas card list; that's why Maddy feels some type of way. She hates to piss TK off.. well, usually.

"So guess who texted me today?" Maddy asked after she got to the station, and met TK at the front door. He raised an eyebrow at her, and shrugged."Eddie.." Maddy cleared her throat.
"Huh.. did he now? And what did Eddie say?"
"Oh stop it Tyler, don't be sooo jealous!" Maddy winked. "He was just checking in, seeing how things are. We're friends.." she smirked. She noticed that TK couldn't help his own smile that crept across his face. "It's fine TK, he lives in LA!"
"I know.. I know, and I don't hate him! I don't know what it is actually..."
"Guess you'll never find out," Maddy winked, causing TK to tackle her gently, onto the hard concrete floor of the station, and tickle her without mercy.
"Get off, you ass!" Maddy screamed through her laughter.
Buttercup came charging over and started to lick TK's face and hands, causing him to loosen his grip on Maddy's waist. "Damn dog!"
"Ha! Good boy Buttercup!" Maddy called. She patted TK's ass before she walked away, station dog by her side. She laughed under her breath, as TK stood and yelled minor profanities at his best friend. Maddy turned around, and charged at him, tackling him to the ground.
She proceeded to shower his face with kisses. "Ah! Stop.. it tickles!"
*mwah.. mwah..*
"Ahhhh.. stop.. it!" TK laughed. Maddy stopped and climbed off of him— she helped him up, and they both walked towards the kitchen, Maddy's arm draped over TK's thick shoulder.
