I'm floating up here
watching you sink
out of my grasp
yet you do not attempt to swim.Your sunken eyes
glued to the morphing light.
Do you want it back
though your head only twitches?
I don't know
if I should reach to you,
the hope an empty poison
eating the insides of stomachs. The sand around you
is eroding, swallowing all whole.
I continue to float here
watching you disappear.The ocean continues
though the sand steals souls.
Under the earth
will you be able to smile again?
