Flecks of snow upon the back of fresh life,
hooves split the dewy grass.
The first fog of breath graces the air
as young steps are learned.Within the dawn's glow a mother teaches
the ways of thwarting man.
Passing the moons to see the day
where he can hold the diadem of his father. The fateful winter arrives
when the sire returns, commanding.
Their coronets clash
for the claim to the season.Weighty echoes crash
through the ears of does.
The christened emperor emerges
to stake his bountiful generations. The crown grows heavy
points luring the eyes of sport.
Sovereignty embezzled by brutish bullet,
the king decorates a dissimilar throne.
