Repress Stress

Pick apart my exposed wires,
worry running rampant through me.
Defuse my ticking bomb self
before the tears light the wick.

Extinguish my inner wildfires
smoke clogging the carefree
feelings normally felt,
flame fanned by the skeptic.

Should my timer expire
I pray you have the moment to flee;
once the final spark is dealt
I will destroy all, whether of bone or brick.
