It was late. Rey snuck out of bed to go to Ben's prison cell.
"Why are you here?" He whispered.
Rey held up a key. Ben smiled.
Rey unlocked the cell door. It quietly creaked open. "Why are you letting me go?" He asked.
"Because I love you" She replied. After that, Ben took a small ship and left. Rey went to bed.
The next day, everyone was puzzled. "Well, maybe he used the force to grab the key" Finn said. "Maybe." Poe replied.
The next few weeks were busy. The Resistance was preparing for a fight.
Rey made her way to Exegol. It was time. Time to fight.
(After TROS. Just pretend Ben didn't die.)
Rey was scared. She didn't know how her friends would react to what had happened on Exegol. Or the fact that she brought Ben with her.
"It's okay. They'll be fine" Ben said.
Rey smiled and nodded. "Okay" she replied.
