3rd POV:

*1 month later*

"and.. cut! great job, josh and olivia! take five, then we'll film the break-up scene," the director yelled.

josh and liv walked off set hand-in-hand towards the green room.

"i hate doing break-up scenes with you," josh complained.

"me too," liv sighed.

"but we love each other in real life, so that's all that matters," she added, kissing his cheek.

"you always know how to make me smile, huh?"

liv shrugged in response and tugged on his hand.

"i think this is the longest we've gone without any fights," josh commented as he took a bite of an apple, sitting down on the couch in the green room.

"i know right, it's a record for us," liv replied, moving to sit next to him.

"i'm just so happy everyone took it well," he said, putting his arm around liv.

"me too. i'm shocked fans still wanted us to be together."

"i am too. i guess they saw what we tried to deny."

"which is?" liv asked, looking up at josh.

"that we're meant to be together."

"you're so cheesy."

"would you rather me be an a$$hole?" he replied cheekily.

"eh i'm good," liv said, kissing his cheek.

"good," he sighed.

"anyways do you wanna-"

"oh! hold that thought lily's calling me," josh cut liv off.

he picked up the phone and left the room to talk to lily, smiling softly to himself.

olivia tried to ignore her suspicions but she couldn't help it. the past couple days josh and lily have started talking again. josh says it's just friendly, but she's not so sure. no matter what they're doing, if lily calls, josh answers.

olivia knows josh loves her and she knows he wouldn't do anything to purposely hurt her, but this is exactly what led up to him cheating on her five years ago. what if he does it again?

she never believed in the saying "once a cheater, always a cheater", but maybe it's true. if he cheated on her with lily before, what's stopping him from doing it again?

joshua's pov:

"hey lils!" i said when i picked up the phone.

"hey! what's up?"

"nothing much. olivia and i were relaxing in the green room. what about you?"

"oh, olivia? you guys seem to spend a lot of time together."

"well she is my girlfriend," i said, with an awkward chuckle.

"yeah i know that, it's just..don't you think you could hang out with other people on your own more? like hang out with your other friends. me for example?"

"i guess.. but i love olivia and i want her by my side no matter what."

"i totally get that," lils said passive aggressively.

what's going on with her today?

"hey are you ok? you seem a little off."

"oh, no i'm fine! just wondering what you're up to that's all. i missed you."

"i miss you too. do you wanna hang out this weekend? liv and i are gonna go out and you could come with us if you want?"

"actually do you wanna maybe hang out just the two of us? we always hang out with olivia  there and don't get me wrong, i love her. i just think it'd be fun to hang out with just us two for a day."

i looked through the doorway and saw liv sitting on the couch looking on her phone. it's just one day. what's the harm?

"sure, that sounds good to me. how about this saturday we meet up and go to a movie or something?"

"that sounds perfect. so i'll see you saturday? does 12 work for you?"

"mhm, that works. see you then, lils."

"bye josh," she said before hanging up the phone.

"hey is everything good?" i heard liv say.

she must have crept up on me without me realising.

"everything's great, livvy. i was just talking with lils," i assured her, wrapping my arms around her waist and kissed her quickly.

liv pulled away from the kiss quickly. what's up with her?

"lils? who's that?"

"oh, sorry. i meant lily. lils is just my nickname for her."

"you have a nickname for her?"

"yeah, of course. we're super close."

"you're super close with you ex?" she asked skeptically.

"i mean, yeah. we worked everything out."

"oh, ok. what were you guys talking about?" she asked, looking kind of concerned.

"we're gonna meet up this coming saturday since we haven't seen each other in a while."

"just you two?"

"yep, but don't worry we both know we're just friends. i love you," i said, kissing her forehead and walking away.

olivia's pov:

i know i shouldn't be worried about josh and lily hanging out on their own, but i kind of am. it's just that this is way too familiar to me.

i don't trust easily anymore, and josh knows that. i know he says they're just friends and nothing will happen, but that's what he said five years ago when he cheated on me.

there's no way I'm telling josh this, but i heard their entire conversation. idiot still hasn't learned to turn the volume down when he's calling someone.

she blatantly wants nothing to do with me and she'll do anything to be alone with josh. she literally said, "yeah i know that, it's just..don't you think you could hang out with other people on your own more? like hang out with your other friends. me for example?" like really, lily? i can't help but feel insecure.

what if he hangs out with her more and more and he starts to realise i'm not good enough? what if he falls back in love with her? what if they continue to always hanging out and we never get to see each other off set? what if she starts coming to set? what if she tries to get involved in our relationship like before?

what if he falls out of love with me?
