trigger warning: drugs, cocaine
I sighed before talking. "About 4 years ago, I met a guy named Carson. I immediately fell in love with him." I started off. "We talked and talked until he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said yes." I explained briefly.
"Our relationship was great. We even got to the point that we celebrated our first anniversary. Then, we went to a wedding. Looking at the married couple, he whispered, someday, we're going to be like that." I chuckled coldly.
"After the wedding, he had been acting weird and distant. Being lovesick as fuck, I was super dense. Until one day, we went to a store together. I noticed that there was a car following us and I told him but, he shrugged it off." I leant against the couch. "Until, it overtook our own car and hit us. Our car swerved and hit a random tree and everything went dark."
I looked at him and his facial expression was changing a bit. A while back, he was mad and furious, but now it had a hint of worry of softness.
"I woke up in the hospital. My whole family was there, except for Carson. I immediately went mad and looked for him." I said. "They then said that he's in jail. I did not believe it at first, but they told me the truth." My voice was already quivering. "He tried to kill me." My voice broke. Alexander looked at me with pity.
"Don't look at me like that, please." I looked at Alexander. "It makes me feel disgusting." I sighed. "Let me continue," I cleared my throat. "Again, I didn't believe them at first."
"Until they told me his statement. He confessed and turned himself in. I was devastated. I stayed in the hospital for weeks but, I was not eating nor sleeping." I took a deep breath. "A few days later, I was discharged. I decided to go visit Carson for some closure because it has been nagging me.
"I did and all he did was say sorry. Shed some crocodile tears. I yelled at him and cursed him. Days later came the nightmares. I would wake up screaming. I vividly remember my dream that it was the car crash. Playing in my mind over and over and over again. I was fine, for a while since I had someone to talk about them too. Not my family no. I didn't want to be a burden. The person I talked to was Rin. He understood me. So damn well." I sighed.
"Everything was fine I guess, excluding the nightmares. Until well, Rin passed. I had no one to cling to. Not even my family because I didn't want to be a damn problem. Until our friend group, Gigi, Lewis, Nic, and I decided to go to a club. Nic knew about my problems so, he brought me there to cast my worries away." I fidgeted my fingers.
"Until, while I was dancing I heard that someone was giving something. I was curious and went to the back of the club, a secluded area. Then, my curiosity got the best of me."
"Nic! I'm going to the restroom. Look after Gigi she has the lowest tolerance that you could ever imagine." I said, excusing myself.
"Okay," He nodded. "Come back, though."
"I will." I laughed. "Don't worry." I then went to the back of the club to see what was the commotion all about. I always keep on seeing people going there.
When I arrived at the back, I saw tons of people having drugs. To say that I was shocked was an understatement.
"Liam! We have a curious cat here!" A voice laughed making me turn around.
"Who are you?!" I asked, a little scared. "And you're doing drugs?!"
"Keane Jacoby. Nice to meet you. You are?" He took out his hand, looking at me with his bloodshot eyes.
